The offensive mindset for the last 6 years has been, “play not to lose.” We’ve had different OCs, so it’s clearly a HC issue. We come out in bigger games and just fall flat on offense. The coaching staff doesn’t trust the QB that is playing the most and you can tell by the play calling. The DC and his side of the ball almost bailed them out last night with an awesome night on the defensive side of the ball. Not sure the HC will survive another off season. You can’t have the most talented team in the region, maybe the state and barely make the playoffs every year.Rebel-Fan-74 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 3:42 pmOh, this entire season smarts... or to be more accurate, dumbs down things! I can't understand how we can't put together four quarters of football.
Many folks were thinking that last night was make or break for the coaching staff and I felt like we were not properly prepared and ready (just like in most of our games this season) in the first half. We make some great adjustments at halftime in every game except for the West Florence game; however, the question remains, "What do we need to do to be prepared in the first half of games?"

Re: Spartanburg Vikings vs Byrnes Rebels
Is Byrnes really the most talented team in the state?
I’m not trying to be provocative. What is the most objective metric?
College offers?
Who would be the most talented if it wasn’t Byrnes do you think?

I said maybe, plus how do you really know when the coaching is holding a lot back.

Again, not trying to be provocative.
I don’t have the first clue about the raw talent on each team or how you’d rank it much less whether the coach is underperforming with the athletes he has.
