BEAUFORT 48 NORTH CHARLESTON 8 FINAL 10/20/22

Beaufort completely dominated North Charleston last night in a 48-8 win. Beaufort RB/ATHLETE Kacy Fields had another Huge Game with over 200 yards and 3 TDS. The Eagles "D" looked awesome again!!!! I was being greedy and didn't want North Charleston to score but The Cougars did score a late TD. There was a running clock for most of the 2nd half. It was good to see Beaufort's Back-ups get some playing time.

Beaufort improves to 7-1 Overall and 3-0 in Region 8 3A. I really loved the District 4 Stadium and the Jumbotron. It was very nice. But they do need to improve the concessions there. They didn't have any Chocolate Candy or Hot Chocolate there. I felt kind of sorry for North Charleston. The Cougars only had 21 players dressed out and their crowd was pitiful with hardly anyone there.

Next up for Beaufort is a HUGE REGION 8 3A GAME next week against Hanahan. This will be for the Region Title and 3 Home Games in the playoffs if you keep winning. I can't wait for this game!!!!

The complete lack of competition on the back half of our schedule is destroying any chance that we may have had at a prolonged playoff run. While turnovers have not been a problem, sloppy play, lack of attention to detail, STUPID penalties, and lack of discipline sure have been, in spades.

Bryce had better regain control of this team or we will be bouncing round balls in the near future. Having confidence is one thing, but cockiness and undisciplined play is quite another. When the competition stiffens (and it surely will in the playoffs) playing the way that we have over the last 3 games will bring a quick end to our season. Senior leadership needs to step up and hold everyone accountable for their actions. We are way too good to be acting and playing like this. Just shut up and do your damn job. There is no need to act like an ass just because you are better than the guys in the opposite colored clothes.

Sorry for the rant, but I am ashamed of the on-field antics that I have seen over the last month of this season. I haven't said anything up until now. Thursday night was a complete embarrassment for the entire Beaufort High School family.

We were playing a team with just 21 players in uniform, and we should have beaten them 90 to nothing. Just a horrendous performance by the team that is by far the best in the Lowcountry. Not representative of what Beaufort High stands for.

agree pinky, yalls schedule reminds me of the cruze teams at hanahan, they whipped everybody and never could go the distance with them cainhoy players.

North charleston always been that way. They actually have more fans at the youth games than they do for a home game. Support has been pitiful forever. Fans prefer going to the clubs than supporting family who play on the teams. Priorities messed up there

Hey Penguin and Slicker, I disagree with y'all a little. I love Beaufort's Schedule this season!!!! Beaufort always tries to have a demanding Schedule every year. The Eagles have played against 2 5A Teams, 3 4A Teams, and of course their 4 3A Region Games. Beaufort has one of the toughest 3A Schedules in the State. Most of the 3A Schools have 2A, 1A and SCISA Schools on their Schedules. Coach Lybrand loves playing a tough schedule. I loved that Beaufort had a tough team in Philip Simmons to open up their Region Schedule, then played against the 2 weakest teams in the Region in Battery Creek and North Charleston and then they will end the regular season with a Huge Region game against a very good Hanahan team.

Penguin, I do agree with you that Beaufort needs to cut out the stupid penalties. But all in all a pretty good season so far. I really love the make-up of this Eagles Football Team. They are playing together as a Team and I think that will make them go really far in these 3A Playoffs. I can't wait to see what they do!!!!

That is so sad fdgrad00! I felt bad for some of the Senior Players. It was Senior Night and a lot of the players had The Coaches escort them. Where were the Player's Parents or Families at? You would think that they would have tried to be there for their Senior Player.

Beaufort will be bounced by Round 2 unless they start playing football between the lines, and stop all of the unnecessary jawing and trying to fight every player on the other team who dares to make a tackle. "Player Name" should not even be allowed to dress this week. His antics are so far out of line and uncalled for. Bryce better do something. We won't be playing Possum Hill or North Charleston come playoff time. All of those 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalties will cost us the season. Time for some bleacher running punishment. That was totally embarrassing last week. Possum Hill game as well. Guys are supposed to play football while on the field, not run off at the mouth. I got the skinny on the Phillip Simmons game where we thought that the Zebras had a bad game. Some of those penalties could of, and probably should of, resulted in players getting kicked out. I have never seen a Beaufort team act like this. It is embarrassing.
