DF, you’re corresponding with a fella who sat in muddy fields several times a year as a toddler watching Flatt and Scruggs rip it up in a Bluegrass festival on a single stage, not a hippy infested Merle Fest or Telluride.
My great uncles played with them and I used to sit on the side of a hill in Cherokee falls and listen to em all the time..long before your time DeCav..
My dad used to play the Western NC high school auditorium circuit back in the early 1950s when he was in high school...we turned an old chicken brooder/sweet potato curing house at the farm into a place to play "hillbilly music", complete with stage, track lights, sound system...fun time...he had an early HD-28 from the late 1970s... I have it now. My son has his Yamaha SSC 500...Dad was a unique guy...member of the Chet Atkins society made their annual convention yearly in Nashville years...hung out with Chet, Earl Klug, Mark Knoplfer, Marcel Dadi, Keith Richards, Slash...interesting mix there.
“Music has charms to soothe a savage breast.” ...we need to play some Puccini for Dub when he gets on a tear...calm him down. LOL

Fear The Fox...
I vaguely remember..it was the 60’s..as mom tells it ..Earl was from Shelby and he and my great uncle Turk friends..Turk played a string bass and he would come down and pick with em..Mom says Turk recorded with Lester and Earl although I have never looked into it..Turk had twin Ivan..Ivan held Turk back..both became fine men later in life but back then that Ramsey gene that likes alcohol was showing so ever picking session turned into a fight between the 2....happens..so who knows what Turk and Ivan himself a fine picker could have been..

And that sir is Cherokee falls SC lore..

Ha!
Pucini!

Some say he was the original Robert Johnson.

Was the direct inspiration for Eugene’s Trick Bag from The Head Cutting Duel.

I'm a bit more of a Liszt guy. Rossini if we're getting a haicut.

I don't why some people get rubbed the wrong way by me. I don't ever mean no harm. I'm still the same guy I was ten years ago. Still trying to change the world. Some of you might be surprised how.

Doh! I think I confused Paganini witb Puccini. I have no
Idea who Puccini was. I suppose I’ll go read about him.

I don’t even know why I capitalized Idea.

Composed several great operas....his final work, Turandot contains my favorite aria , Nessun Dorma (None Shall Sleep)..one of Luciano Pavarotti's favorites...my cultural enhancement efforts on the board for the day....you are most welcome.

Quite nice!

Hahaha. Goddamn I’m an idiot. Know what two operas I’ve seen?
Barber of Seville by rosinni.

And La fanciulla del West by Puccini.

Bahahaha. I’m not sire this cultural is the best fit for me. I’m confusing Puccini with Paganini and claiming I never heard Puccini and turns out I’ve see one of his operas.

Odd stuff. A bunch of American fur trappers singing Italian in a saloon for over an hour.

I’d like to see Marilyn Manson have the balls to pull that off.
