Spartanburg made them have to come from behind by secs and a couple of points.

One of us is gonna give them a fight. I just don’t know which one. Dorman can’t throw. If we could throw We’d
be w different animal.

If Spartanburg could stop committing penalties they’d be a different beast also.

It should be fun. I’d consider it an honor. It is a good day to die.
If they meet, we will see how Spartanburg fares next time. In the first meeting, DF was still bitten by the injury bug. Basically didn't have a QB. They just got in wildcat and let Jarvis Green win it. Spartanburg is good, but they have flaws. Haven't found one in DF yet. Superb talent, and the best coach that has ever been in this state is a tough task.
So...what happened to the best coach last year???
And, isn't the "injury bug" as you call it, a flaw in itself?

. It is a good day to die.
That's not a good way to say it. You sound like Data on Star Trek.
Hell...on a good day to die...it's OK to use contractions.
Not DATA. Robbie Robertson from The Band. Every day is a good day to die if that's what has to happen. Maybe. It's just a metaphor. Win or Lose, we will play the game.

The general rode for sixteen days
The horses were thirsty and tired
On the trail of a renegade chief
One he'd come to admire
The soldiers hid behind the hills
That surrounded the village
And he rode down to warn the chief
They'd come to conquer and pillage
Lay down your arms
Lay down your spear
The chief's eyes were sad
But showed no sign of fear
It is a good day to die (It is a good day to die)
Oh my children dry your eyes
It is a good day to die

Fontaines D.C.?

Your references are always one level deeper than I can tease out. I thought the song was fantastic btw!

For one Knotts got caught with a careless QB last year. And even the best lose some every now and then. I saw Bentley lose at Byrnes when he had superior talent. It happens. But since he came to DF, his teams are consistently dominant, and the best coached. And in flaws, I wasn't talking about Spartanburg being sick. Look at the Gaffney game. A stupid personal foul cost Spartanburg that game. The lack of execution on the hands team at Dorman. It is often about the details. And Dorman gave away that game at the end with their curious 2 pt conversion play.

Ha....shocker.

I think last season was a lot to do with trying to heal the team instead of coaching... losing an important former team member as the season started and losing Jack....losing two was tough, with one dying in front of his teammates. A lot to process for 15-17 year old kids. I thought Fort D would win their playoff game. Last season may have been TKs best season leading the team. Amazing job given the circumstances....The Reservation, Rebel Nation, The Fort....all were incredibly kind and caring to the Silver Foxes...very much appreciated. The ceremony the Rebel Booster Club had before their game with Dutch Fork was something that Ms. Alkhatib will never forget and will always remember their kindness.

Colby does make a good point about the QB. I agree with him that Appler's injury kinda caught the DF coaching staff flatfooted and highlighted we had no backup prepared to take the reins. Nichols, Olenchuk, Taylor, Patterson had all been healthy their time at QB and DF was spoiled. Made us scramble...saw that when it happened and Green ran at wildcat the whole game. Having a healthy Appler back has made a huge difference...we can pass now. Has looked good in his return.

Upstate will be represented by Spartanburg. My prediction. I hate it, but Mikey is right. Ain't saying they will go the distance...
