Anything out of South Pointe? They lost 4 games this year and JV-9th grade teams struggled as well?

No hot seat this year. But can see it coming down the road. Many wondered how in the world he got such a plum job after running a Marlboro County program, that Dean Boyd left in good shape, into the ground.

Emerald’s Tad Dubose

(I bet they’ll give him one more year but they have vastly underperformed under him…)
Named Lakelands Coach of the Year despite going 1-4 in region and giving up over 30 points/game in region play. 5-6 with his talent is definitely underachieving. Wins against 96, Ware Shoals, Crescent and Eastside is not very impressive.

South Pointe admin picked the guy. First year administration brought in “their” guy. They had worked together previously is how that happened. The key to watch here isn’t the administration, but the alumni and other coaches. New head coach kept a lot of assistants from previous years, even brought back some that Holloman had cleaned up.

It will be interesting to see how the spring and summer go. Will we see new assistants? Transfers? (In or out)

He couldn’t win at Marlboro county so that was a head scratcher hire.

What a joke.

They must've been tired of giving it to Nickles. Give it to Stewart Young.

Also, you know what they say: it's not what you know, it's who you know

Some of the most confusing are the schools, some with obvious issues in football, that haven't made a change. But then again, at the high school level, some of these things tend to fall after the holidays for some reason. I know the folks at Rock Hill are wondering why no change has been made. And I would include about half of the schools in Greenville County, if Greenville County cared the least bit about football.
