FORT BEAT DOWN BY MANY, YOUR QB IS GONE, SAD TIMES COMING.
Not for a while qb is covered .we return a lot .
Plenty of talent comming.
The assault on the lowcountry will continue.
My curiosity is this the year LaPrad hangs up his coaching whistle and calls it a career. It would be a nice ending finishing in the State Championship. Unfortunately he is coaching in the Tom Knotts era and chances of winning a title are slim to none every year. Much like when the Patriots with Brady were winning most years.

He won't be much longer .but as long as the staff remains we should be fine. I'm absolutely sure Knotts has held us from 2 or more titles. Outside of Dutch Fork we seem to hold our own against anyone in the state .been a rough year lost a coach another is battling cancer .lost two key starters .yet we are still here.

I’m sure you will agree the lower state this year has been the weakest in talent of any year in the last 10. When teams in general from the lower state played upper state teams or talented out of state teams they got smoked like Custer at the Little Big Horn. Not having attended as many games as previous years I left most very disappointed. Will the players still choose to come play at Fort like they do for Knotts at Dutch Fork when LaPrad retires is a good question. This isn’t a slight on any team but I think we are witnessing a changing of the guard and a new era. With that comes growing pains cause DD2/Charleston doesn’t have the $$$ to pay like the upstate. 6 figures has become more a norm for a AAAAA Coach, and especially a successful one. Last question, would you be there if you had to play Dutch Fork in the lower state championship at their place?

FD is losing 35 seniors and 11 starters including your QB. Better win it this year because getting back to Columbia may not happen next year, especially with DF likely back in the lowerstate bracket.

What did I miss? Realignment doesn't happen until 2024. Dutch Fork will remain where they currently are next season. So will everyone else in Class 5A, meaning that the brackets won't change either, other than home field scenarios.

People know the first team I think about each season as the biggest threat to the Silver Foxes is Fort Dorchester. I suspect DF has kept the Patriots from a state title or two during the past few years. I expect a great game from both teams. I believe the Fort D fans will agree with me that we all hope for a similar game and outcome as the 2019 playoff game at FD...am I right?

This year the #1 seed and #4 seeds from Region 5 are in the upstate while the #2 seed and #3 seeds are in the lower state. I thought I read somewhere that this will flip next year(made sense). Maybe I am wrong and the upstate will get the #1 seed from Region 5 every year. I vote for this bracket setup  .
