This one should be interesting. Beaufort and Powdersville went through some tough competition to get to this point and it could definitely go either way.

The way to beat Powdersville is to make their QB throw it. The RB doesn’t like contact and if you keep him between the tackles he can be slowed down. We had done a good job containing him but he had 2 big plays that were back breaking. He’s a great player and great players always find ways to make plays so just do what you can to keep him frustrated. The QB is not a great thrower and the receivers don’t do well against good coverage and the OL can’t hold up well in pass pro unless it’s a quick pass. QB can run very well and he’s slippery so if Beaufort can stop the run they’re in a good spot.

I might go watch this one, I’ll definitely be on the Eagles side if I do attend. I’d rather a low country school win than the team that put us out. Despite my negativity towards South Easley they would be deserving champs if they do win. I’d just prefer they don’t.

This HUGE GAME is only 2 nights away!!!! I am already so excited!!!! It should be a great game. Both Teams are really, really, good!!!! Plus, both teams love to run the football. From the looks of this poll, everyone believes that this will be a good close game.

Let's hear some more thoughts and predictions on this 3A State Championship Game!!!! I will give My Prediction Tomorrow.

My prediction is…. Beaufort 31 Powdersville 24. Beauforts defense is really good and number 10 runs like a mule on steroids

This game comes down to the fundamentals for Beaufort High. If we continue to have really dominant play from our huge offensive line, anchored by Aaron and Adrian Lamb, we will have a great chance to win. With defenses keying on all-everything RB Kacy Fields (2011 yards rushing while playing WR for the 1st 3 games) RBs Colton Phares and Caleb Ullmer along with QB Samari Bonds, have emerged as legitimate threats to carry this team if needed. Bonds has seldom had to show off his rifle arm, and WRs Mcleod Reichel and Thomas Purdy, along with TE/HBack Michael Dennison, are more than capable of making the huge plays if called upon. After Kacy Fields was moved to the RB position, this offense has been unstoppable.

Defensively, Beaufort is one of the best teams in Class 3A. All season long, our starting defensive unit has proven to be a stout force. Powdersville will test that mettle on Thursday, but if we play up to our abilities, we will hold our own against a formidable opponent. Last year, the bright lights and electric atmosphere proved too much, along with a hungry bunch of Stallions, for us to deal with. With so many returning players, that shouldn't happen again. This game will be decided in the 4th quarter, I believe, with Beaufort making enough big plays to eek out a 7 point win.

Tomorrow night is the HUGE 3A STATE TITLE GAME between My Beaufort Eagles and the Powdersville Patriots!!!! I am so excited and probably will not be able to sleep tonight. .

In order for Beaufort to win this game, The Eagles Offense will need to do what they have been doing and that is running the ball with Kacy Fields, Colton Phares, Caleb Ulmer, and Samari Bonds. But I do hope to see Bonds mix in some passes to help open up the running game. Beaufort's Offensive Line has done a tremendous job this season so far and I think they will be the Big Difference in this game to help The Eagles win the 3A State Title.

Beaufort's Defense will need to key on Powdersville RB/ATHLETE Thomas Williams. Williams is a Virginia Tech Commit. He plays almost the whole game at RB and on Defense as a DB. So the Eagles "D" will have to keep him in check and tire him out. Patriots QB Eli Hudgins also loves to run the ball, so Beaufort's Defense will have to key on him also. Hudgins also loves to throw the short Passes, so Beaufort's LB'S and DB'S need to be ready also. Beaufort has a very good run defense. So I love the Eagles Chances to win this Game!!!!

I think Beaufort has the edge on Special Teams. Beaufort Kicker Jack Troutman is a weapon for Beaufort and with Kacy Fields and Colton Phares returning the kicks will give Beaufort the Big Edge in this game.

I hope to see the Stadium packed!!!! As for My Prediction...I will say...

Unfortunately I won’t be making it to the game but I hope BEF and Penguin have a good time and leave with the first place trophy. Sitting on the home side was good luck last year for all the games so hopefully just for tonight that stays true. I’m pulling for all upperstate teams after this one.
