....9 or 10 times in 20 years,
or is it 16 times in a century,
I keep forgetting where that "respect" line is drawn. :?

"Once" will be a good start. 8-)

But we're just focused on winning this week, there are no "bad" teams left. You have to focus on the guys lined up against you this week. :geek:

I agree completely, they are pumped up for tomm nite!

No, maybe we might win, maybe the only thing we can do is just take everything they've got. But to beat us, their gonna have to kill us, and to kill us, their gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of us, and to do that, I know Stratford aint got the heart that SF has to do that.

It ain't a matter of respect for me, it's not about history either. You could have 17 titles and be at basketball practice (right Chiefs?) this week. To me its about what I have learned first hand over the past few seasons.

2009 - Byrnes was 1-1 against Dorman (the loss was in the rematch for the State Championship)
2010 - Dorman was 1-1 against Byrnes (the loss was in the rematch for the State Championship)
2011 - Gaffney was 1-1 against Byrnes (the loss was in the rematch for the State Championship)

I know how rematch games work out some times with two evenly matched teams, not always, 2012 Gaffney was 2-0 against Byrnes... but 75% of the time, it's been true.

I wish you the best, and don't have a dog in the hunt...so I don't mind if your guys prove me wrong, it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong.... heck, I've been married for 33 years and as of today been a father for 31 years, I'm used to being wrong and being stupid.

74 I agree with you it is that age old saying that its hard to beat a team twice in the same year and it hold true almost 90% of the time. I mean all you have to do is look at Gaffney this year we barely escaped Boiling Springs in week 10 and then 2 weeks later we end up getting beat by them at home and ending our playoff streak.

I don't know much about either SF or Stratford but I think it will be a good game I just hate that I have nothing to do now on friday nights except look at the scores and just wish Gaffney was still playing. You can't win them all and we will be back in August ready to go again. We will move on to basketball season and go win the state title in it

The playoff brackets pick-em has been fun!

I have, and will continue to enjoy the discussions on THIS QUALITY forum!

This time tomorrow, we will be staring at the clock wanting kickoff time to hurry up and get here....

Thought I would throw out a few projections:

Hillcrest over Sumter 23-17
Dutch Fork over Spring Valley 34-31
Summerville over Boiling Springs 35-28
Byrnes over Lexington 42-24

Northwestern over York 42-21
North Augusta over Beaufort 35-14
Stratford over South Florence 24-21
Goose Creek over South Pointe 28-24

Giving us the following Semi-Final Match Ups
Goose Creek -vs- Stratford
Northwestern -vs- North Augusta

Byrnes -vs- Dutch Fork
Hillcrest -vs- Summerville
Six for eight... not too bad, not great...

Update:

Potential means that you have teams still playing that could (if you picked them 100% correctly from here out) get to that many points....

OK, we are down to the FINAL FOUR in each bracket...

No One has eight teams remaining...

In Division One we do have one poster that has all four teams still playing. bbrown1240 has picked 11 of 12 correctly with the only loss being Boiling Springs over Gaffney. We have four folks (me, trojangrad78, MYSTIKUL, NA JacketFan) who have 3 teams playing in Division One.

Myself, bbrown1240, Byrnes#1, wave80, EHSMeanGreen, Sniper24 all have Summerville -vs- Byrnes picked as the final game and that could still happen....bbrown1240 is the only one who has Summerville winning it all.

For Division Two, Penguin and Mel Kiper have all four teams still playing! Those with three teams still playing ....(me, Go Tigers, HSFBJunkie, GoBigGreen, wave80, justanotheridiot, NA JacketFan, CobraKnight).

Folks that could still have the finals as they predicted with CobraKnight being the only one of the group to go with Stratford as State Champions:

SP-NW...........................Stratford-NW
Go Tigers........................Penguin
HSFBjunkie......................CobraKnight
Mel Kiper

I'm sticking with Byrnes -vs- Summervile in Columbia and my revised Division Two will be Stratford -vs- Northwestern.
