Is there anyone on staff who is ready?
Todd Shigley is really, really good.
James Martin, current DC at Blythewood, former head coach at Olympic and Northwestern. Still lives in RH.
Does Jason Winstead want to return to York County?
I don’t know enough about any NC guys but this has got to be attractive to most of those guys looking for a salary increase.

I don't really know the staff at Clover anymore. I used to keep up with them but I haven't in a few years. I know they had a pretty good defensive coordinator but is he ready or would he want the job?AngryMax wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 9:52 amIs there anyone on staff who is ready?

If I was the AD, I would be calling Shigley or better yet, driving down to Lancaster County to see what I needed to do to get him to Clover.

Has anyone heard how Coach Turner is doing with his cancer diagnosis?
Don’t think you are...know you are

Don't know but even if Coach Turner was healthy, I don't think they would bring him back. Word on the street is that he wanted to come back before they hired Lane and the brass wouldn't entertain it.
The higher ups will need to make a decision soon because spring practice is right around the corner and you would think they will want somebody in place before that. I am sure they have a pool full of qualified candidates from all over the place so they want to make the right choice but the Principal and the AD will screw it up as they did with the hires for both basketball coaches.

So how did the screw up hires for basketball? Clarification needed. The higher ups will need to make a decision soon because spring practice is right around the corner and you would think they will want somebody in place before that. I'll give you clarification: they had applicates at both positions that were more qualified than what they hired! Simple as that! Clover hired a girls basketball coach that isn't even a teacher, when the qualifications in the job posting said: must have teaching degree/certification. The boys coach was hired because of who his father is, everybody knows that. They picked those two choices over much more qualified choices so lets hope they don't hire the offensive coordinator from Wagner Sally over the top qualified candidate!Thekingrock wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 3:14 pmSo how did the screw up hires for basketball? Wow from what I gather today is girls coach was longtime assistant coach. And the boys coach had experience in 4a basketball and D1 college. As far as football Clover need to stop hiring coach”s who are there short term, they need something long term. Who is at Wagner Sally?I'll give you clarification: they had applicates at both positions that were more qualified than what they hired! Simple as that! Unless you have a home town guy, who only has the dream to coach at that particular high school, it is very hard to hire someone who will stay forever these days. First off, loyalty doesn't exist these days. Clover is a good job, but in Lane's case, hard to turn down Westside. They pay as good as anybody, and their facilities are off the charts.

Haven't heard. I saw a gofundme page going around a few months ago for him but nothing else has been said. Top Notch Guy! I hope everything works out for him!
