What the above poster said is very true. And the sad part about it all is that with some support Aiken could be competitive. They have the athletes. But like a couple other school districts is SC, they just give football a nod and could care less. It is a shame.

What exactly do you mean by "some support"? Is it that the athletes don't get in involved? The fans don't support (Booster Club funding)? Administration doesn't provide the support for the AD to properly staff the football program? Explain please or examples. PM if you need to.

On its face, almost shocking that Garrick would leave Barnwell for Aiken. One would think with his success he could have gotten a better job if he wanted out of Barnwell for whatever reason. But I suppose he has his reasons. Good coach.
