Re: Greg Porter
Well the point is, he plays on a different playing field as others. Others in the State do not and can not recruit. So he is winning on an un-level playing field. I would not have a problem with it if everyone is on the same playing field. My point is the same reason Saban got all mad at Fisher this past year. Fisher is just doing what Saban has been doing for years, and now that they are doing the same things and beating Saban, he gets butt hurt. If Coach Porter and all other schools are on the same playing field and he still wins, I would give him the credit. SC needs to either be all open or all closed and sit out a year. I'm saying if you get everyone else's players and win with them, are you a great coach, I say no. So Porter can not win every where in my opinion. He can only be successful in a place he can recruit and get everyone else's players. This is why he would be crazy to leave GC!

Porter is very good coach and friend. I wouldn't have minded having him at Greenwood. He's creative and energetic.Hayes Cooper wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 8:47 pmWhen Cathcart left Greenwood he really went after the Greenwood job .
