If the community will buy into what Dubose has to offer, then everyone will reap from the sowing.
This isn't going to happen.

It's not all on him either, but he needs a staff in place that gets it. His entire staff aside from one guy (who was hired this week, KJ Chamberlain) don't understand that "other" side of the tracks.

Do I think Chamberlain can make a difference in that school? Absolutely, I do. Because he lived it and got out...then came back to make a difference. That is a fantastic move by Dubose to bring him in.

What Mac did that Dubose hasn't done yet is send assistants down into those neighborhoods that his current staff is afraid of. It's why they were really, really good from '13-'18. And it's why a particular program in the lowcountry is really, really good now because one of those coaches i there now and he's working the same magic.

This is a step in the right direction, but there has to be more of it.

Greenwood has two high schools. You don’t have the same type of opportunity to build rec and middle school feeder programs when it’s split like that.

It works in Abbeville because all the kids come up and go to the same school.
I've said so many times on PrepTalk show me your Rec league you can see the future. 96, Ware Shoals, and Greenwood Rec been down for years look at the current situation. Greenwood Rec league is in trouble because they wanted to start all of these AAU football but ain't teaching fundamentals to kids. Everyone gotta be on the same page. All the coaches wanna be Andy Reid instead of coming together for the Greater Good of Football.
Could this have anything to do with the dominance of Abbeville football compared to the other teams in their region.
student break down by race. Landrum 89% white 3% black. Blacksburg 86% white 12% black. Liberty 85 % white 4% black.
Chesnee 82 % white 8 % black. Ninety Six 76 % white 19% black. Abbeville 48 % white 47 % black .
Sorry if you think Race is a issue. Abbeville didn't pick the Region this alignment. We also have to travel our azz off this coming year 2 plus hrs for 3 games. We had dominance in every region we have been apart of in Football. Just a town that is passionate about football explains our dominance...ATown Forever 2022 Class 2AA State Champs 🏆

9-28 record at Emerald with three games left in the season. 3-12 in region games.

Union County is one they could win, but Chester and Clinton are for sure losses.

Best case scenario is 10-30 overall after 4 seasons.

I’m not sure how the district can run it back in 2024.
