Hey Penguin, you think Lybrand is already sending his resume to Ashley Ridge? Didn't he try to leave before last season? Seems like I remember him in an interview say he withdrew his name for the AC Flora job because he felt like this year's team could get back to the finals and win it all.

I, for one, hope that he has sent his resume, and that Ashley Ridge hires him on the spot. He is definitely not well liked by other Beaufort County Head coaches. Like I said, he has done a great job with the Eagle's program, but he is going to have an extremely difficult time looking his players in the eye and asking them to give maximum effort when he has tried to get on board every bus leaving town. If Ashely Ridge is only paying what was reported in this thread, then he will be staying at Beaufort because Beaufort County pays it's coaches significantly more than that.

ITS SAD WHEN A SKOOL HAS TO PUT THE COACH AND ATHLETIC DIRECTOR BACK TOGETHER TO PRODUCE ENOUGH MONEY TO GET A COACH TO COME. MOST ALL SKOOLS SPLIT TO END CONFLICT OVER SPENDING ALL THE MONEY ON FOOTBALL.

Can't shoot the cash cow ( or cash camel, in my case)...football is the moneymaker.

I really like this Beaufort Football Schedule!!!! It is the same as last year except for where they play the games at. My Eagles play against 3 5A Teams, 3 4A Teams, and the 4 teams in Region 8 3A. I think that playing against the 6 Upper-Level Teams really helps Beaufort and that is why that the Eagles won the 3A State Title last season. Most of the other teams in 3A Football play a weaker schedule. A lot of them play teams in 2A, 1A and even Private Schools. :o . So that is what hurts the other teams come playoff time. I love that Beaufort always plays a tougher schedule. I think that Beaufort has another great chance to play for the 3A State Football Title again this season.

Ok, as for all the talk about Beaufort Head Football Coach Bryce Lybrand. I really like Coach Lybrand. He is a great Coach, Person, and his Mom and Dad are awesome People to talk with. As for him applying for all of these Jobs...I don't like to see it, but if he thinks that it will help his career then I am all for it. I know that he wants to hopefully coach at his Alma Mater, Greenwood one day. As for me, I hope that Coach Lybrand stays at Beaufort for a very long time. Coach Lyrand has done an excellent job at Beaufort. His overall record at Beaufort is 34-12. He has led the Eagles to 3 Region Titles in his 4 years at Beaufort. Coach Lybrand has also led Beaufort to 2 State Title Game appearances in his 4 years and winning 1 State Title. :o  8-) :D . So he is a great coach!!!! Another thing going for Coach Lybrand is that he is coaching in the prettiest city in all of SC and even the whole United States. Plus with his Teaching Salary and Coaching Salary together he is making at least $80,000. I think that is pretty good money if I say so. Beaufort has also always had some pretty good athletes playing football and the facilities are pretty awesome. I hope to see Coach Lybrand around Beautiful Beaufort for many more seasons to come.

GO BEAUFORT EAGLES!!!!
Beaufort Head Football Coach Bryce Lybrand is 43-26 after his 6th Season at Beaufort
