Spartanburg - the backup QB from last year will be the starter from everything that I know, he is the real deal and will only be a Jr this season, Viking fans are gonna be in for a treat with him.

Byrnes - Should be a 2 man race at this point, from what I know a new kid moved in, and you still have the back up from last year.

Dorman - no idea

Gaffney - whoever they can get in the portal 😂
Forgot that Byrnes got QB transfer from Boiling Springs. Backup at BS, but think he’s talented.

Gaffney- Surprised they didn’t get QB from Rock Hill to transfer. I’m sure they tried, just didn’t succeed.

Dorman- No clue who it’ll be either
I saw the new QB for Byrnes (the one from BS) in a few 7v7's and he can sling it, it will definitely be interesting to watch that QB race play out.
The year isn’t over yet…the QB at RH also plays baseball and doubt he would want to play that sport at Gaffney this year since they have a new Coach…but from what I have heard as far homegrown talent ..Drew Medley who played WR last year is a possibility..he currently is also playing baseball..speaking of baseball do we have any Region 2 folks that follow the sport?
No he doesn’t.

Yeah last year's BHS QB issue only masked the general weakness of the team..... but, the recruiting budget was increased to try and right the ship.

What is BHS going to do to solve that massive growth off Hwy 29 and up Holly Spring Road?

Will they ever consider another high school? or are they going the Fairforest route?

Well, there are some rumors about this and these are the two most heard:

.....a second high school, (not what I think will be the first option)

.....redrawing the lines (Spartanburg County is 7 districts and would be the one to actually do this) and I think Dorman would object to any redrawing of the lines in the same way Slicker would be if you tried to take his boiled peanuts. The talk was to balance out the entire county from Inman to Woodruff getting sutdents and Dorman, Boiling Springs and Byrnes losing students. I think this option makes the most sense and could be the most beneficial to the entire county, but we are dealing with politicians, so there would be a lot of fighting. One question that I've always wanted someone to answer for me... Why does Spartanburg County need 7 districts and yet Greenville County, right next door, can manage with one for the entire county? Seven Superintendents and staff, maybe we could consolidate some of those jobs and hire more teachers.... the reason we have those schools in the first place, right?
.

Greenville County is a perfect example for us having seven districts. The seven district keeps everything local.

Oh hale no... you don't want that. Do you honestly think that would SAVE money? Didn't y'all have a super 'retire' and then pop back up in G'ville county district admin office making the same if not more money, but just having to push papers and not make decisions? 301 Camperdown Way is eat up with bureaucrats that do absolutely nothing to help the classroom.

To put G'ville county in perspective, it is not only the largest in the state, it one of the largest in the NATTION. How many jobs are over there are filled by people that have never seen a classroom since they graduated?

If you are a teacher in Gville co, the super doesn't know your name. If you are an asst. principal, the super doesn't know your name. if you are a principal, the super might have heard of your name, but will have to be reminded of what your name is.

And the only coach the super ever pays attention to is the one in the news papers for the wrong reason, and then doesn't care after the news cycle is over.

Plus redrawing the lines in Spartanburg would create a civil war and that would only work for maybe 20 years before it would be out of wack again. 2 interstate highways (and the off shooting local highways) have a lot to say about where the growth will be coming. How many cow pastures are now subdivisions in the last say 15 years just in BHS's district?? Shiite in SHS district they are slapping houses in the right of ways to try and add more places to live. And Broom district is just down the street. Imagine what will happen to WHS when people decide to start living there again. LHS could be 4A in the next generation.

The BHS district plan looks like it has the long haul in mind, and to be honest would create quite the potential athletic monster that Fairforest over looked when it left the mall. Four middle schools, feeding a freshman campus, feeding the highs school.... hale BHS could have it's own middle school conference. Ain't y'all adding on to the HS campus again?

Shoot BB might try to go for round 3....

I like the plan in place as well but I'm not sure it will be viable in 5 to 7 years. Of course, we could build on the football field and build a stadium somewhere else.... or we could do like the Vikings did for 40 or 50 years... rent Wofford's stadium.

And what is a cow pasture? Oh wait, now I remember them.... Over here, there is a plan called: ALL TREES MUST DIE!

Keep your eyes on the QB from Northwestern - Polk............... He is a rising Junior.... Had a great Sophmore season......NW Head Coach Wofford knows how to coach QB's......Coach Wofford brought NW back to State Championship Game last year..... He was also OC/QB coach under Kyle Richardson .... 3 State Championship appearances with 2 State Championsip Tropheys......

Byrnes - Should be a 2 man race at this point, from what I know a new kid moved in, and you still have the back up from last year.

Dorman - no idea

Gaffney - whoever they can get in the portal 😂
Make that 2 kids moved in..Spartanburgs last year freshman has transferred to Byrnes.A big blow for the Vikings because this kid is fast and something special.Probably another AJ Green from DutchFork ..

Heard Spartanburg was trying to replace him with another freshman RB from right down the road…
