Preseason Rankings

Post by DFOLDMAN »

https://highschoolfootballamerica.com/p ... -rankings/

HS Football America has Dutch Fork #11 and Colquitt County #18. I saw National HSFB.com has Colquitt County #11 and Dutch Fork #14.

Hopefully, DF plays well that first game. Will be on the road in front of a hostile crowd with lots of eyes on the Silver Foxes. Hope they show up ready to play.

I think I would have Fort Dorchester a little higher, simply by the level of talent walking the halls of that school every year, as well as Gaffney- their tradition is second to none- football is in their blood. Losing the QB will hurt SF, as well Spartanburg so we will have to see.

Unlike last year (DF could not catch a break with injuries), if DF can stay healthy this season, they may have another great year. That being said, DF has quality depth and like last season, that had to carry the load a great deal of the time. That always helps.

I would probably add Byrnes to the Top 300 myself. They always have talent.

RB is the only position that is SOLID for the Rebels on the offensive side and CB should be very good on defensive side. If I had to put a prediction for the record out there, I'd probably go with 8-2 as the "if everything goes our way" estimate and the more likely record of 7-3. If the new starters gel during the non-region schedule, I could see the Spartanburg game going a VERY LONG way in determining the Region Championship. Gaffney is always going to be good when we get to October and we get them in the final week of the season, on their fourth game in a row, so they could be very tired or more likely, clicking on all cylinders!

I'm thinking about entering the transfer portal!

mikey said that the Injuns would be 10-0 with the closest game a 13 point win...

Lost head coach lost OC lost oline coach.
Lost sr qb .
Oline returns bigger stronger lost 1 rb return 2 one got shot in the leg should be fine.
Got some returns on D Line some transfers.
Quick recievers .
Secondary has been getting torched in 7 on 7
.some potential but a long ways to go a lot to prove .
The general concensus should bo ok but we will see. Accountability of doing the work during summer will be key .had a issue with that last year. Back ups look like ants will have to stay healthy.

That's one thing DF seems to have going for them this season- quality depth with size and speed. Injury bug bit the Silver Foxes last year but they worked through it well enough, and got healthy after the bye week, before region play started. Then went on a run 9-0 to the title outscoring their opponents during that stretch 474-84. But you are correct, staying healthy makes a huge difference.

Remember this guy....Ron Di Pietro...new WR at DF. Looks good. He transferred from IMG. That's a change.
