Here are the High School Sports Report's Top 20 polls for each Classification. I thought that they should have My Beaufort Eagles higher than they do but hey it is just a preseason poll.

Not saying they don’t deserve it since I have no idea about them, but Summerville at 2 is a head scratcher to me..

Hope they are back ..I always liked helmets..

According to this James Island would win our region or be favored to. That’s a pretty generous ranking considering SF is the defending champs. We’ll see soon enough!

I disagree with the defending part.they are pursuing another .nothing towards you just a pet peave .no one can take the other championship
So there's nothing to defend .

I think ots a tad high.but from what I've told they have transferred a ton of talent in .a qb a reciever to add to Yannick Smith. Aswell as others word on the street is they are a sleeper .
Fort has promise aswell .
None of it means jack until they play.

I think #2 -#12 in 5A you can shuffle around like you want. Heard the 'Ville will be solid just not sure about #2. The other classes look reasonable for preseason- nothing too out of whack.

Curious Slick, how good will the Green Meanies be this season? They made it to the Lower State Title last season. I'm not sure they will get past the Fort....let me in on your good intel on the matter....seeing how much you LOVE the Green Wave....lol

I can understand your point of view that’s fine. I can understand why Northwestern is #1. I just can’t understand how James Island got so much love in a preseason poll over a team that won a championship over a team that’s a projected state title contender again. Is James Island a state Title contender? Are they just a good regular season team/ playoff contender? Somebody must know more than me about them. I guess we’ll find out in the playoffs this year. Lol I hope

I think this is more of a statement on just how important Sellers was to the SF success of late; without him...not nearly as imposing.

I can't deny we will miss watching Sellers take the snaps, he was like a cheat code for our offense. But he wasn't playing defense for us; he wasn't down field making some of those clown catches and picking up huge yardage after the catch, and didn't carry the ball on the majority of our running plays. Those other kids didn't get the same press and attention, but a fair number of our seniors will be playing on Saturdays this year, and we return a core group that got a lot of playing time last year. From what I saw at our spring game, we will be in the hunt for another region title.

I think our HSSR ranking is reasonable. Hartsville, Myrtle Beach, South Florence and West Florence all in a knot between #7 and #15. That's about a good of a guess as any.
