Best defense is a good offense. Sellers kept the offense on the field, and the defense rested and ready. He threw the ball where usually only the SF receivers could catch it, and the defense could not key on any SF RB solely because Sellers was always a threat to run making the RBs more effective. I think SF will miss him more than most believe. He was special and special from a young age on the SF varsity. Time will tell.SF Band dad wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 8:12 pmI can't deny we will miss watching Sellers take the snaps, he was like a cheat code for our offense. But he wasn't playing defense for us; he wasn't down field making some of those clown catches and picking up huge yardage after the catch, and didn't carry the ball on the majority of our running plays. Those other kids didn't get the same press and attention, but a fair number of our seniors will be playing on Saturdays this year, and we return a core group that got a lot of playing time last year. From what I saw at our spring game, we will be in the hunt for another region title.
I think our HSSR ranking is reasonable. Hartsville, Myrtle Beach, South Florence and West Florence all in a knot between #7 and #15. That's about a good of a guess as any.
