I think the kids deserve to play on a big stage. Not that Benedict is any stage, but a bigger college stadium. But I get what you are saying. That’s the way it used to be and was fun. I used to love to go to WB and enjoy three games. No way I am just going to one game, unless I have some personal interest in a certain school.

The format won't change...5 games over 3 days...separate tickets for each game. The games won't return to WB anytime soon. USC charges way too much money. The schools that make it to the game shouldn't have to write a check to the SCHSL afterwards to cover the costs.

Why can't our two largest schools in the state come to a consensus and alternate this thing between the two of them? Other states can do it and I believe it can be done here. The kids deserve that if they make it to the state finals.

Gaffney had 13000 when they played Dorman a few years ago…but they have since closed the hill off for security reason..

It’s official. The South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) announced all five games of the 2023 Football State Finals will be held in Orangeburg SC at the Oliver C. Dawson Bulldog Stadium (Willie E. Jeffries Field) on the campus of SC State University.

This year will be the first time all five State Championship games will be held at SC State University stadium. Previously, SC State hosted the SCHSL Class A championship starting 2006 lasting until 2009.

This year the SCHSL State Football Championship Finals are Thursday, November 30-Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Greenville: 15,000 <----But only has Parking for 150 cars
Dorman: Seating for 10,200 + 5000 on the hill<---- Same as Gaffney, not using the hill for security reasons
Spring Valley: 12,000 <---- One of the best of the HS stadium options

College Stadiums
Travel not equal for Upper State/Lower State but I don't think of that as a real big issue, I mean it is for the state championship, is that not worth a little travelling?
