Expecting a Saluda victory tonight but Emerald can get better and stronger in this one. Work on cleaning up the mistakes before heading into region play and they’ll be in most games.
That said, losing back to back games to smaller schools is a nightmare scenario for the Vikings. After Saluda, they’ll be at a crossroads. There’s a chance this program wins 3 games or less this season.

I agree with you on that. If emerald doesn't win tonight there might be a 2-3 win season ahead. Emeralds region is really tough especially Chester and Clinton being as strong as they are this year.

Yep... really tough region for them.WShornets69 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 8:58 amI agree with you on that. If emerald doesn't win tonight there might be a 2-3 win season ahead. Emeralds region is really tough especially Chester and Clinton being as strong as they are this year.
With this schedule, I'm wondering if they are preparing for a potential realignment and a move back down to 2A.
We'll see what happens tonight but it's looking like Crescent might be their best shot to win.

I think the Vikes could win this game if they play mistake free ball. Should be a good match up.

I just can’t figure Emerald out. They always seem to have size up front and athletes at the skill positions. But through two different coaches now they seem to find a way to underachieve. Now Saluda is a good team, but Emerald should have an edge in talent and depth. I just can’t understand what goes on at Emerald

Their current HC is a great man and he knows ball, but there’s definitely a lack of connection between players and coaches over there.Blister wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2023 12:05 amI just can’t figure Emerald out. They don’t have an identity, especially on offense.
It shouldn’t take three plus seasons to establish culture but he certainly walked into a mess of a situation.
