Spartanburg offense…
Spartanburg offense…
I’m wondering how this work if the Vikings had Trey Burke as the qb and TJ and Calvin in the backfield rotation the freshman in back and forth in their place.3 speedy running backs witch the qb can either hand it off or decide to throw it..Just wondering..

You give TJ the opportunity. He's fought some of the best defenses in and out of state. There is just a glitch in his throws, the timing is just slightly off.
And sometimes..he's running for his life.

A slow start will be bad, bad, news.

one thing about the Indian Defense..they pressure the QB …# 93 especially..young man is hard to handle..the back side has been vulnerable though..viking84 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 11:16 amI was just throwing it out there. but true.A slow start will definitely be bad..Noble Savage wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 6:13 amYou give TJ the opportunity. In the Byrnes game Spartanburg struggled with the pass.mikey wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 2:52 pmone thing about the Indian Defense..they pressure the QB …# 93 especially..young man is hard to handle..the back side has been vulnerable though..viking84 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 11:16 amI was just throwing it out there. but true.A slow start will definitely be bad..Noble Savage wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 6:13 amYou give TJ the opportunity. If Gaffney sells out to stop the run (single coverage on all receivers) and sends random extra blitzers, my money will be on the Indians.

[/quote Spartanburg defense ain’t no joke just to let you know.U might stop the offense but can you rush on the defense. They limited Byrnes to 1 td on offense and that was it..

Re: Spartanburg offense…
Our "D" was the star of the show for the Rebels no doubt.... but that has been the storyline all season. We ran the ball in the first half some, but then when that was gone, we were done on the offensive side of the ball. We have to be able to run to set up the pass (which is the theme for most teams I guess). If we have a powerhouse performance from the O Line, we can play with anyone.

I think the state is up for grabs this year. DF doesn’t seem to be a threat but if Northwestern moves in then theirs a problem. They are as advertised..Rebel-Fan-74 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 5:13 pmOur "D" was the star of the show for the Rebels no doubt.... but that has been the storyline all season.
