Which team do you think has the best chance to dethrone Dutch Fork this season? If any 😂

Personally I think Byrnes can break through this season, they seem to have as much talent as they have had in a while. But if I was a betting man I would put my money on Hodge and Spartanburg representing the upstate this fall.
My money is still going to be on Dutch Fork representing the upstate....
I thought Dutch Fork was going to be lower state this year? Assuming they win their region.
Nope they switch back and forth.
That region splits. It'd be to easy just to split it at I
20.
But they were upper state last year. Do they not switch back and forth each year which would make them lower state this year? Or someone commented that they switch every 2 years. I guess looking back at the playoff pairings each of the last 3 years would provide an answer...now where to find that?

Well, the SCHSL hasn't posted brackets for this season yet; but I was just going with the same bracket since last season was the first season with this realignment. I guess we have to wait and see what happens when the brackets are posted

Found a site which listed the brackets(ghsfha.org). DF was lower state 2018 - 2021 and went to upper state in 2022 with the realignment. Someone somewhere at some point said their bracket would be split based on seedings within their reqion and they would swap from upper to lower state periodically(not sure if that means yearly, every 2 years, etc). I agree with Rebel-Fan-74 that we will know once the brackets are posted by the SCHSL.

Apparently Coach Hodge is very excited about his Spartanburg team. Said he’s seen flashes of his 15-0 Chapman team. He’s not the coach to say something like that for no reason, so I think that holds some weight
This little prediction by Hodge certainly didn’t age well. In fact I am sure some of the Spartanburg folks figured at this point that Hodge would have Spartanburg amongst the elite in 5A in the same fashion that he had Chapman rolling in 3A.
