He coaches at a Charter school so he will just go buy the best athletes in the area. In 2-3 years he will break the record but it really is an entirely different accomplishment competing in a public school.

Pretty rich given the fact that Summerville played college aged kids against High Schoolers for more than 50 years.GoBigGreen wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 8:10 pmHe coaches at a Charter school so he will just go buy the best athletes in the area. Just curious. What do you consider college age .sheerPenguin wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 9:17 pmPretty rich given the fact that Summerville played college aged kids against High Schoolers for more than 50 years.GoBigGreen wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 8:10 pmHe coaches at a Charter school so he will just go buy the best athletes in the area. Right on Penquin......I played at Goose Creek from 1978 to 1982. Our coaches always talked about how Summerville would hold back 8th graders every single year.......Penguin wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 9:17 pmPretty rich given the fact that Summerville played college aged kids against High Schoolers for more than 50 years.GoBigGreen wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 8:10 pmHe coaches at a Charter school so he will just go buy the best athletes in the area. I challenge any of you to PROVE anything stated above about Summerville. Just rumors and "talk"....

Years ago 60 minutes did a program about Valdosta Ga. high school . They would hold a kid back in school if he played football and was a good athlete . They also got caught giving kids steroids. We do have a school in S.C. that will let a kid play football if they commit crimes as long as it is not a felony.
