Yep he is gone. This job will attract a lot of candidates from across the nation, but if the job is not filled in house, I'm thinking it will be filled by someone out of state. Big name in-state coaches either have either just accepted other jobs, or in the case of Tom Knotts and Bob Hanna, the job may be a significant pay cut.

Top in-state coaches that might leave to take the job:
Steve Taneyhill (Union County)
Chris Miller (Spartanburg.....he might want to come back)
Kyle Richardson (Northwestern.....may be the best choice available in-state)
Tom Knotts (Dutch Fork.....hope D5 has plenty money because they will need it to land him)
Dan Pippin (North Augusta/Greenwood.......he just took that job at Greenwood but may ditch them for this job. maybe worth a shot)

I've only been following HS Football for about 5 years, but I was wondering the same thing. At some point this spring we'll have to compile a list of all the moves.

One name on your list is possible, but the big money is on Brian Lane at Woodruff...
