J L Mann vs Dutch Fork

Post by DFOLDMAN »

Don't know much about Mann, but they beat Hillcrest twice in one season and that is not an easy task. Stayed in the game with Hanna losing 58-35. Never sure which DF team will show up Friday. If the Gaffney game version shows up, I think they have a good chance. Just have to wait and see.

Thoughts?

PS- I think the "SEC of 5A" is no longer Region 2...just sayin'- huh, Colby? I think Region 4 needs that title...

Well played Oldman. Until we meet again....
I will say this....and I have said it before. Within a 30 mile radius of where I sit...there is not another spot in the state that has as many big boy trophies in high school football. Take that to the bank.

Colby, Colby, Colby....still trapped in the past. This is the present, not history...lol. You're like a rearview mirror.

That being said, no idea which DF team will show up Friday. They best bring their "A" game. Mann is no joke...beating Hillcrest twice in one season is a tough task.

Just finished watching the Mann-Hillcrest game on tape. I haven't seen the Foxes play this season, but apparently, inconsistency is their achilles heel. Mann seem particularly good in the secondary on defense. Their O-Line is big and strong and they know how to block. Just my opinion and nothing more here, Mann will be strong enough to stay with, or ahead of the Foxes through halftime. Coaching wins this game for the Foxes, late. Goos luck agianst the Patriots. Hoping for a well played game and dying to see what happens in the White Knoll game. That one may be the first one to 70 wins. LOL

Idk how big the GA team was but I doubt you have seen a team this big.. their lines are massive and whatever the roster says.. THEY ARE WRONG.
Not super fast but are they are not slow.
Very, very well coached. I'm not a verbal champion on jobs well done but...

If I could play in GVILLE Co..
I'd hope to play for Scoot..
Just my opinion.

Until I see something different.
They Were the best coached team Spartanburg played this year. Period.

I agree with this 100%! Coach "Scoot" Watson will have them prepared .He is no doubt coach of the year in SC.
Just very unfair how brackets work after 1st and 2nd rounds! No way Mann should be on the road for this game. So I really feel that it's going to be a very very tall task for the Patriots , but hey they believe so will I :D

Yep- just not quite sure which DF team will show up, so it's anyone's game with Mann. Injuries have a lot of backups and underclassmen playing- which bodes well for the future, but may be problematic for now. Have to see if Coach Knotts has the bugs worked out. Hope he does, but Mann is a tough out, and consistency in execution is key. Just have to wait and see....toss up in my mind.

Yep there Defense is good.We did shut their offense down to a field goal and only they limited us to only 1 td.Their Defense won that game with 2 pix sixes.
