From what I've heard, Hemingway HC was arrested for a second time. Not sure of these new charges but his last arrest was DUI. They brought him back and I'm hearing he was arrested again. Don't know the reason this time.
If they do fire him, I don't know who would want that job. You'll make good money and have 0 expectations since Al Calcutt left. But at the same time you'll never be successful because every year will be the threat of combining with Kingstree.

He has been let go. Hemingway will remain open until the enrollment dips below 150. At that point, it will be closed and the students will be sent to Kingstree.

At that point, Kingstree would be the last high school in Williamsburg County.

150 more students would probably make (Kingstree) Williamsburg County move up to 3A in the next realignment. Some students from Hemingway may opt to jump the county line and attend Johnsonville or Carver's Bay, both of which are closer than Kingstree.ClemsonTigersFan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 5:08 pmAt that point, Kingstree would be the last high school in Williamsburg County.
