Re: Trouble in Dillon
To the comment that it's not Dillon football anymore, I agree with the part with the coaches, but Dillon needs to stay out of the transfer portal looking for Qbs every year. It's hasn't worked out for us yet. We have homegrown kids not getting a chance bc of this. Kids who are better. Nothing against grosetti, Hawkins, grider, or oxendine. Grider was the best one, but it don't work out.

Re: Trouble in Dillon
I'm not trying to disrespect any of kids, and not even the coaches with any of my comments..and no I'm not kin to the kid but I'm from Dillon N.C lol.
That kid is good Idc what no one says..I really don't know what Dillon games some ppl be going to but I saw multiple passes dropped or the wr didn't put that extra effort in..
Had one wr from JV team that actually was playing good with him but he got hurt..
Btw why didn't we win a state title with the "greatest player"" ever to come from Dillon?
I really hope Dillon surprises me this year and they do have a kid I saw take the 11-12 all star team to lower state basically by his self...
Honestly i like coach roller but during football season, he can't be worried about that different kind of wildcat..
Well I'm bout to run for president of the USA... Jackie Hayes lol

Re: Trouble in Dillon
Yea I see you are lost JH fan!! That dude was throwing to cheerleaders and fans in the stands. He is a average qb so stop it. He was scared to run the ball out of the read option against good defenses. But against teams like aynor and waccamaw He was a monster. Another thing, the comment you made about Stan manning bc he Is the goat of dillon football, no he didn't win a state but my comment was about QBs that we been bringing from other places and it has been a complete failure. Every championship we won been from a homegrown Qb, you can't deny that. You might need follow oxendine to SF or wherever he ends up

Weird SF Band guy hasn’t weighed in yet. Maybe he’s a real estate agent in Florence. They gonna need some on staff from what I hear. Gotta make sure those new addresses are legit before the SCHSL does come region play.

I have no inside information. I have no idea if this guy enrolled at SF. We have a pretty good rising junior QB that looked impressive in the spring and in 7-on-7s. We have a lot of talented, hard-working players returning on both sides of the ball.PeeDeeFootballFan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 10:50 pmWeird SF Band guy hasn’t weighed in yet. If he enrolls at SF, I believe the AD, coach and district attendance office will do their due diligence to verify his residence and attendance zone. From what I have seen from coach Marlowe, no one is going to walk-on and start, the starters have to earn their position, based on merit and performance.

Well that all sounds very reasonable SF Band Dad. Maybe what I’m hearing isn’t completely accurate. Wouldn’t be the first time. As I said previously, I would be shocked if SF would risk anything with all the talent they have on that team already. Can’t say I’m looking forward to my team having to go up against SF. In region this year, but looking forward to the challenge and measuring stick for where we want to get to.SF Band dad wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 12:16 amI have no inside information. Coaching Grapevine, you referring to something I said? I am still trying to understand this multiplier and requirements for public school students (not charters or private) to live in a district to be eligible. The multiplier only relates to private or charter and schools with open enrollment in a city/district. I don’t know where people and apparently schools got the idea there are no longer attendance zones for sports. Regardless, I also am not dumb enough to believe what SF Band Dad is saying. I hear enough about what SF is doing. They better be masterful at it though going into a new region. Hiding where someone actually lives every day of their life is actually very tough to do in today’s world. Losing a whole season and risking adults jobs by cheating shouldn’t be what HS sports have come to, but here we are. It would be hard for me to enjoy a season constantly worried my team may get found out for playing ineligible kids to create a team that no longer represents my community but wins a lot against schools who follow the rules. Renting an apartment or using a relatives address doesn’t cut it and proving that stuff is as easy as it gets with todays technology. If there are 10 impact transfers into SF like I hear at every athletic event I have been at all summer, they better be true and legit transfers involving a complete family move into the district like the rules say, or I don’t see SF getting away with it. Someone in the region will raise it because it is straight up cheating and other schools are just playing with the kids who live in their town like it should be.coachinggrapevine wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 6:19 pmYou said that with a straight face?SF Band dad wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 12:16 amI have no inside information. I wasn't referring to your comment. I was referring to Band Dad's. And let me say, I am confident that it will be a bonafide change of address and whatever transfers SF gets (each year) will be eligible based on SCHSL rules.PeeDeeFootballFan wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 11:24 amCoaching Grapevine, you referring to something I said? But don't let their fans around your athletes at travel ball tournaments.
