The two at SHS are as good any, both could be Shrine Bowl worthy.

These rankings are garbage, just trying to get clicks.

There are others that rate just as well.

If the S-H-J wanted to have something worth reading they would pay REAL money to Jed Blackewell to write these up and then it would be worth the click.

It's sports Illustrated...not SHJ

And I'd give Jed a million dollars if I could and he knows it.

I don't see any other articles being posted. I don't see ANYONE spending 25 hours a week writing, interviewing kids, parents, fans, coaches at Spartanburg while working a 60 hour a week job. Oh, and paid for players of the week trophies out of pocket. Somewhere Doc Davis has a crystal commemorating his 200th victory at Northwestern , that to was out of pocket.
Paying for Mutts BBQ to cater Spring Games, out of pocket.
No sponsors. No Profit.
He did it just for the kids & the game.

Spartanburgfan.com doesn't exist anymore.
Armour & Sword doesn't either and it was read in over 30 countries around the world.

....that was the guy, he followed Spartanburg for almost 30 years everywhere then his wife died in his arms. He goes to EMDR therapy for PTSD and can't even go see his most favorite thing in the world. He lost literally everything.
I spend every Friday Night during the season with him, watching him hang on every word on the radio, making sure he has something to eat and that he doesn't have a "break".

I haven't seen another fan site for any South Carolina team that was even close to what he did.
I haven't seen anyone step up to fill those shoes.

I know how good our LBs are and I would have prefaced that link with that but I just thought the article spoke for itself. It's what The Giant SI sees, they don't have feet on the ground here in SC. I was surprised they didn't have a Viking on it but that could be because no one is writing about Spartanburg.

I was just trying to post content instead of just mundane smack talk...at the very least Sports Illustrated made an effort. It's a grain of salt.
