Northwestern vs South Pointe

Last year, NW won big. The kids don't forget.

Bobby Collins (SP) is a run first coach. If South Pointe cannot pass consistently, it will probably be a long night again for the Stallions.

As a cross town rivalry game, anything can happen.

South Pointe is coming off a huge win (by points) against a first year school whose average player age is 14 and average player weight was 150.

NW is coming off a big win over South Florence in a game that most people thought would be MUCH closer than it was. The game was not as close as the final score of NW 48 SF 7.

As in any game, it will center around controlling the line of scrimmage, turnovers, mental mistakes, penalties, and nobody losing their head and being teenage stupid in a cross town rivalry game.

If South Pointes front defensive four can keep the pressure on Northwestern’s Quarterback the whole game, then this game might be a closer game than people think.

This should be a great game. I think that I will pick Northwestern though. I bet the stadium will be packed! Good luck to both teams!

Rock Hill High is not where they "will be" in 2 years; despite a lot of talk they were back. Can't take a lot of stock in that one.
Ballantyne Ridge as you said, "is a starter school and it should have just been JV dispatching them"!
Spartanburg of course won the game; but they aren't "Spartanburg"! Still talented. And, I could be wrong as it was the 1st game.

As for NW - I must say, "it would take a perfect storm for the Stallions to win this game"! I mean, "perfect"!

Having watched the Hough vs. Northwestern game - I can tell you "just because a team is big/physical/athletic it will not phase this year's Northwestern Trojans. Not at all.

Hough looked like some of Tom Knotts Independence teams at every level.

NW by 14. And, I say that Begrudgingly BTW.
