28-23 Eagles at the half. Newberry hit a long pass down to the 3, but had no time outs and couldn’t get points.

Chapin 42, Newberry 37 final. Not getting points before the half killed us.

Doesn’t get any easier next week as the Bulldogs travel to Fairfield Central. It’s homecoming over there and the WachFox57 game of the week they show.

Chapin has some athletes. It was a game of big plays. Chapin just made 1 more. The not getting points when it was 1st and goal from the 3 at the end of the half was killer. Get points there with getting the kick to open the 2nd half and who knows. We also recovered a kick where nobody on the Chapin return team attempted to catch the ball or were within 10 yards of the ball and the refs called kick catch interference and gave Chapin the ball.
