Oceanside vs Dutch Fork

Like Gray, I don’t know much about Oceanside. DF was way too much for Gray. As bad as it was the score could have been worse. DF took it down a notch in the second half. At the half Foxes had out gained Gray 347-32 and was up 28-0. In the past, Gray and Oceanside have been fairly evenly matched. But that was the past. I’m sure they will both Gray and Oceanside do well in their regions. Have to wait and see what happens…

Irmo beat them 35-7, I’d say this week might be a little worse for them.

Here in recent years, DF has beat everyone like this. Oceanside probably won’t see the end zone. DF wins big

Curious to see how this one turns out. I guess they are probably the most similar to Gray from the previous opponents this season. Gray might be a little deeper and Oceanside might have a little more experience. Can't get a good read on them. Not sure if they are like Gray who had some folks playing both ways- that will wear you down against a team like DF.

I haven't seen DF play, nor has my sons but I think my oldest son is going to see this game- he is an old Silver Fox and will have a good analysis of the team for me. One thing on film I have noticed is that DF has some depth along the OL and DL. The defensive line and the defense in general looks to have some real speed. DL looks hard to block- Walker, Williams, Cesario, Fulmer, Steed, Henderson, Norris etc. I like the linebacker group of Smith, Salters and Jackson. The secondary may be one of the best in the state with Sessions and the Smiths. As a group they make it hard to score. If anyone has seen them in person, let me know if what I am saying makes sense.

Offense is work in progress but they seem to improve weekly. They rotate in a good group of OL with Benson and McFadden being the most experienced. Offing is a good QB and Anderson is a good RB. Receiving group with Smith, Bickley and Westbrook work well and the TEs...well no one uses TEs as well as TK. Miller in particular is key- big body when blocking like another OT and is a big target with good hands when out for a pass. Just have to wait and see what happens this week...

Once tk retires they'll go back to old DF after a couple years. Happens to them all.

TK and DF ain’t doing anything that McKissick and Bentley didn’t do before him. If winning regularly makes you a cheater add guys like Fruster the Rooster at Daniel to the list… laundering all that dirty IPTAY money for Dabo.

DF JV won down in Mt Pleasant last night 42-6 over a previously undefeated landshark JV team. Hopefully the DF varsity can do likewise tonight in Ballentine.
