Pushing playoffs back 2 weeks is a terrible idea. It was a bad idea the last time it was done too. This issue can be solved by being more creative than just pushing things back. Then in the future create a strategy that plans for hurricanes to come to places like SC, where shockingly these things happen. Of the last 10 years, how many times have Myrtle beach, Charleston, or Hilton Head not had a hurricane hit during the months of August through November? You know, hurricane season.
OK, what is the alternative for this season?
If we don't move it, I say instead of 12 Upper and 12 Lower, have 8 Upper and 8 Lower in each bracket and you could lose one week of the playoffs.

Going forward, what would the new strategy be?
I'd say go to A, AA and AAA with all division splitting for the playoffs. Do the absolute best you can to make all Regions Six teams which would:

(1) push Region Play to later weeks in the season maybe miss some of the bad weather

(2) and it would make things more equal for everyone in the number of Region Games you HAVE to play.

I personally wish we had a "Scheduling Committee" that would schedule two or three games for each team in addition to the 5 Region Games. If we stick with ten game Regular Season then 5 Region and 2 Committee Games which would be other teams in your Classification from adjoining Regions. Maybe even an "event" in Week Zero and/or Week One at Furman with three games. Same at The Citadel, somewhere in Columbia, Coastal Carolina, Rock Hill's D3 stadium...
