In a 3 way tie in this region it may come down to points allowed. If that’s the case MC would need to blow Loris off the football field by more than 26 points in order to win region. In my opinion. Loris scored 30 on Dillon. Dillon scored 35 on MC. The dawgs need to really destroy Loris with a ton of points.

Or they could all agree to a coin flip who knows.

Sometimes it is easy to forget that these teams are going to have a bad night, and sometimes it can look really bad! Loris was a much better team than Socastee, but they didnt play that way and they lost. Dillon made some key mistakes in the Loris game, but so did Loris. It came down to the wire, but no one can say Dillon isnt a very good football team! I'm afraid them losing to Loris only awakened a sleeping giant! They will be a very tough team to play from here on out! Friday night's game vs MCHS will be one where Loris will have to play near perfect. The Bulldogs have a lot of athletes on the field at any given time. Also, none of us should forget how tough it is to play inside those white walls at Dillon Memorial Stadium as a visiting team, so we can't really say MCHS was overrated! Expect MCHS to be ready to play a very sharp game come Friday night. 5-3A is, hands down, the toughest football region in 3A for 2024! Whoever comes out as region champion will have definitely earned it! Oceanside is definitely that team that could do it in 3A, even with all the issues they have faced this season! In my opinion, Mountain View Prep is THE team in 3A. They are fast, explosive and disciplined in all the facets of the game. Good luck to everyone's team this week!

I’ve talked to the Dillon coaches and SCHSL officials
This is THE explanation please ignore all others

Bro if Marlboro wins it’s a three way tie.
This is big because whoever wins region has a cakewalk to the 4th round
You must Add up defensive points given up amongst ALL three teams not just the Loris game(which is where everyone keeps messing up)

Dillon has given up 42. 30 to loris snd 12 to Marlboro

Loris gave up 27 to us and will play MArlboro on Friday

Marlboro gave up 35 to Dillon which is huge for Dillon and will play Loris on Friday .

.1. If Marlboro wins and scores at least 16(put loris at 43 points given up) and lets loris score at least 7) will put Marlboro at 42 given up) If they give up the same amount of points Dillon wins region because they look at head to head. .

2. If Marlboro holds loris to 6 or less(puts them at only 41(Dillon’s 35 + 6)and scored more than 16(puts loris at 43 given up (adding up 27 from Dillon and 16 from Marlboro) then Marlboro actually wins region. because they will have given up less points than us and Loris . But holding loris to under 6 is highly unlikely

3. If loris wins none of this matters

Long story short Dillon has put themselves in great position to possibly steal the region crown

Dillon would have put themselves in a great position by beating Loris. Not even the slightest chance that Marlboro beats Loris. As tough as I am on Loris based on their previous year letdowns, unless Marlboro has a different 17 kids from NC that are gonna show up to play Loris, it won't be close. If the team that played last Friday is their team, Marlboro may not make it past the first round of the playoffs.

Didn’t you delete a post saying the same thing about Loris when Dillon went up 14-0.

I agree though, Marlboro County / Clinton is not doing a very good job at becoming a collegiate academy.
