Same disclaimers as before.... But even they have been updated…
Yes, even now, it is still too early, more fact at this point than last week, but we're still guessing
STILL Don't know about all the out of state teams nor the official 135 Day ADM STILL!!!! Thanks SCHSL.ORG
Don't know about some of the A, AA, and AAA teams getting to winning record, etc but some are now there!

3 Greenwood ---- 3 Westside -------- 3 Westside -------- 3 Laurens ----------- 3 Greenwood

Last week, Woodmont's win over Westside shifted things slightly…
This week, it was Westside's turn to shift things, but not "SLIGHTLY".. If they win out, they are Region Champs
Region Two:

OK, everyone who picked Boiling Springs to lose to Riverside, raise your hands…. {PS: Telling a lie is still a sin!}
The Bulldogs should still make the playoffs based on playing all those Big 16 teams with a winning record…

Remember this comment from Last Week: "this Friday we will have a better idea about #1 and #2 from this region"
Well, now we know better… It ain't over, but the Fat Lady is close to singing…

Stratford and Wando flip flopped, after the Summerville game, I seem to move everyone to the #2 spot in Region Seven???
Well, both will get in, it is just a matter of seeding….
Region Eight:

2 Fort Dorchester ----- 2 Fort Dorchester ------- 2 Summerville ------------ 2 Summerville ------------ 2 Summerville
3 Ashley Ridge --------- 3 Ashley Ridge ---------- 3 Ashley Ridge ------------ 3 Ashley Ridge ------------ 3 Ashley Ridge
Nothing new here…. I guess Friday will let us know for sure, Ft D or Summerville… I'm still with Ft D for now!
The battle for the #1/#2 Seeds: (#1 or #2 because either way you have HOME FIELD until Columbia….)
Assume Dorman, Fort Dorchester and Dutch Fork all win out..
Fort Dorchester needs Stratford and Ashley Ridge to get to 6-5 (which is possible) as well as Summerville and Wando which looks like a done deal
Dorman needs Boiling Springs to reach 6-5 (not looking too likely now...) and for Gaffney, Rock Hill and Greenwood to win enough games to get more opponents wins should they get to the second tie-breaker. If Mauldin or Gaffney could get to 6-5 that could put Dorman at #1, too. Dorman only has to tie in points to get the #2 slot over Dutch Fork as they won head to head.

Outstanding analysis. I can't argue with any of it.
I had no idea the board supported an extended character set.

EHSMeanGreen's Projections (very similar to Rebel-Fan-74's at this point)

Tell me what outcome you would like projected differently. I'll try to oblige.

These are for Tigerific, Keeping the Dream Alive at 1-5!
Sipping the Conway Kool Aid- Conway finish 3rd in Region 6

I have Socastee falling out of playoffs and needing St.James to get to 6 wins in 3A in order to get back in.
Socastee could also get in by beating SF or Sumter.
Taking a bigger Gulp of the Conway Kool Aid - Conway 2nd

Honestly, looking at Conway's schedule, they have played some good teams.
Conway's 5-losses (Georgetown, Hoggard, Socastee, Hartsville, and Myrtle Beach) are a combined 28-2.
If they can keep improving, it isn't inconceivable that they could make this happen.
Especially given the direction that Sumter has gone recently.
Good Luck Tigerific!

Are you still projecting Hillcrest to win Region One?EHSMeanGreen wrote:EHSMeanGreen's Projections (very similar to Rebel-Fan-74's at this point)

I'm guessing you have Boiling Springs beating Mauldin?
And Westwood in Second Place in their Region, beating Spring Valley?
Other than that, I would think we are picking the games pretty much the same way for Division One.

Region 1 could still be Hillcrest but Westside has to lose one more game
Region 2 will be Division One
Region 3 would be You
Region 4 will be Dutch Fork
Region 5 looks to be North Augusta (Division Two)
Region 6 would be Sumter (Division One) or South Florence (Division Two)
Region 7 looks to be Goose Creek (Division Two)
Region 8 looks to be Division One with either Summerville or Fort D.
So, #4 or #5 would be the most likely, depending on Region Six. You would be after Sumter if they win Region Six or after Dutch Fork if South Florence wins Region Six.
But, you see all the assumptions that have to be made just for Region Champs. What if Hillcrest wins Region one, then you fall down one more spot. What if Goose Creek gets moved to Division One, you fall one more spot.. or what if White Knoll wins out and takes Region Five, you guessed it, you fall one more spot.
So, you could be anywhere from #4 to #8 if you win the Region.... but it all would depend on someone else winning in the other Regions. A much more likely idea would be getting the #2 bid from Region Three. But then you double the "WHAT IF" questions... OH, BY THE WAY, I got a real good feeling about that 10/17 game, I think you got that one in the bag!

Re: Projections as of 10/06
Conway has a big senior o line but all the skill people are sophomores and a junior. Got off to a slow start but the second half of the Hartsville game the light kinda came on. The kids have had a remarkably positive attitude and know they are very close. Marlboro Co held Hartsville scoreless till the 4th qt and lost a heartbreaker. Had Dillon on the ropes the week before. MB returns a ton from their state championship team and we had a chance on the final drive to tie the game. Question for this young team is can they learn how to win? If so we could make the region race very interesting. We also get Socastee and Sumter at home. Seriously if we can make enough noise in the region to make the playoffs I'll be happy. Next year should be the year we return to being a contender again.
