96 at Chesnee

96 is 5 - 3 all time against Chesnee including
a 27-20 win last year .I was confident last year
my Wildcats would beat Chesnee. Not confident
this year . 96 will have to play mistake free to
have a chance . I think it will be a good game
but i know if 96 don't play a lot better defense
than they have all year it can get out of hand.

Good luck to the Wildcats. Chesnee has ended Newberry’s season twice in the playoffs. First time was Strickland’s first year when we were throwing to the end zone late in the game. Had a wide open receiver, QB didn’t see him during a scramble and threw into double coverage.

2nd coldest I’ve ever been at a football game in my life. Coldest was the 2010 Papa John’s Bowl in Birmingham. Almost froze that day watching the Gamecocks do nothing for 3+ hours. I still hear the “Papa’s in the house” chant they played over and over in my nightmares.

What a disaster of a season…3-8.

Ninety Six never should’ve punted early in the 4th. They had already driven 99 yards and your defense hadn’t stopped them all night unless Chesnee turned it over.

I agree . Terrible season .not just the loses
but just the defense not being able to stop
anyone . If all the kids come back next year
they will have 16 seniors but unless they
learn how to play defense they will have
the same results.
