LOL I can feel the love. All I know is if remember correctly, DF wasn’t tied with Irmo as time ran out- they were up by two scores. I’ll be sure to check on the NW faithful next championship weekend… as they watch other teams play, dealing with LAP (life after Polk). Gaffney might be going for number 19, and the Foxes for a 4-peat.

And remember, like JB said…Silver Fox hype- ain’t hype. TK is plotting and scheming…. I can feel it.

Green is my color, you know that - OD green - 11 combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan with USASOC and the Department of State Foreign Area Counter- Terrorism cell. I bleed OD green.

No telling what next year will bring. I’m still not comparing programs, longevity or streaks. No question Knott’s is doing Knott’s things and that Gaffney has great tradition. There is more to each program that creates the picture we see. Some of those ingredients are pretty unsavory. Let’s see how DF does with LAK (Life After Knott’s). You are on a great run, enjoy it while you can. I do wonder who Gaffney’s next “transfer QB will be? That deal is way bigger than Jones.

Knotts is only the second HC DF has seen. Life post Knotts will be good because he has shown what can be done there. I told everyone DF was the perfect storm for the right coach years ago before he was ever considered- little did I know it would be “the coach “. He might stay a little longer after his son graduates but I doubt he will be a McKissick and coach that long. I think he may be grooming one of his assistants- have to wait and see. The next two years will be fun- lots of good players in the pipeline.

Excited to see what happens.

DF should still be good post Knotts, but I doubt we see the annual dominance they seem to enjoy under TK. Knott has a presence about him and those kids seem to thrive under that leadership. Few have that. They can be an x and o genius, but his leadership skills will be almost impossible to replace.

I think it was Jimmy the Greek that once said, the number one thing a team can do to change their trajectory is to change head coach. In my opinion, that holds true. It all comes back to character, leadership, culture, strength & conditioning, and skills.

TO DEOLDMAN:

Ok, I will give DF credit where credit is due. Well coached and state champions.......good for you....HOWEVER, I would rather my son play for Coach Wallace, Coach Richardson and Coach Wofford and the purple and gold than .............................................................I'm sure many could finish this comment.............
