I don’t know much about him but hear nothing but great things! Do you think he would dominate AAAAA Division 2 with the talent level that he would have to work with at Gaffney?DFOLDMAN wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 8:06 amHe is an outstanding coach and even better man. With those "confirmed" applicants (and who knows if they really applicants or not) I agree, it would appear to me that some of the others would be great hires; but anyone who knows Cherokee County knows that there have been some really crazy decisions made over there. Does anyone else beside me think that from 2006 until he decided to retire could have been much different had they not run off what might have been one of the best ever to walk the sidelines....

He took White Knoll to the old 5A title game in his third year and beat DF for the region title. He beat one of the best Summerville teams in a while for lower state… I think he would do well with the Injuns.Chief Whoa wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 1:25 amI don’t know much about him but hear nothing but great things! This is really the first hire since they hired Phil..they have just went through the motions a lot the last few years..I haven’t seen the job posting, so I don’t know if they listed a salary …this time around you got a school board that goes like this..
1. those that will support Donnie …some vocal/voters constituents will demand it..
2.those who want the cheapest way..the one’s who want the money to be spent on education which consist of 20 field trips a year.
![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
3..those who will do what ever they consider a personal gain..
4.the one or two with a little bit of sense..
So.,ain’t no tellin

Very curious as to where did the " RUMOR" come from as it relates to Coach Wofford leaving Northwestern?
Re: gaffney head coaching search
You give Pelham the talent that Gaffney always seems to produce and his losses would be few, and far between. What he has done at White Knoll is remarkable. That program was in the tank when he took over. Gaffney can draw a lot of good candidates, but they won’t find anybody better than PelhamDFOLDMAN wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 8:09 pmHe took White Knoll to the old 5A title game in his third year and beat DF for the region title. Not buying it. Can’t guarantee anything as every man has the right to chart his own course for his career and family. Coach Wofford will be at Northwestern in 2025.Chuckster1 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 10:53 pmVery curious as to where did the " RUMOR" come from as it relates to Coach Wofford leaving Northwestern?
Re: gaffney head coaching search
Not Oceanside?... their Interim HC has already retired once...he did a great job this season with a title, but he may want to hang it up for real. Wofford is a Lowcountry guy anyway....Mount Pleasant may be where he lands. Have to wait and see.NHSTrojan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 2:43 pmNot buying it. He may want the job but you may way want to check your sources! That or you are just throwing stuff up against the wall to see what sticks! If an OC gets the job it will be Coach Littlejohn and deservedly so and not some coach from a sorry football school like Lexington is right now!StallGridironGang24 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 10:05 pmI heard last night that the Lexington OC is a lead candidate for the Gaffney job, and may not stay for the Lexington job due to personal conflict and administration issues. I hear he's pretty good and works well with players.
