Looking to 2025

Post by DFOLDMAN »

DF should be in pretty good shape for 2025, with some key starters returning and a strong JV team moving up.

Defense:
DL has 3 starters returning with Walker, Henderson and Cesario returning and some good backups/JV's returning

Have one returning starting LB (Salters) and a couple of DBs coming back in the secondary. Several good backups/JVs coming back as well.

Offense:
OL has 3 starters returning (two guards and center) and three OTs that had a good bit of playing time- OL won't have the huge bookend tackles like Benson and Roberts but very athletic in the same mode as McFayden.

QB- Ethan Offing returns with Jaxon Knotts backing him up so that is in good hands.
RB-Shine and Johnson return at RBs and both saw a good bit of time subbing for Anderson- Shine started when Anderson was out.
WR/TE- Have to replace the receiving corps with new WRs and TEs but some excellent targets coming back in Fulton and Bean. Looking forward to watching them. Have some depth at TE and expect Warner and Collins to start.

Good blend of returning starters and talented backups/JVs ... looking to a good season. Been looking to 2025 and 2026 teams for a few years. Have to wait and see what happens.

.... hope so. JV team alone was special...8-0 and outscored opponents 355-46...some talented 10th graders (rising juniors) that should be fun to watch next season on varsity.

I didn't realize Offing was only a Jr. That being said, do you think any schools come calling with football offers or is he solid on his commitment to play baseball at CU? Any chance he reclasses and graduates early?
