Misc info about 4A state championship games since 1981 (66 games total)
....all based on current regions.....

1. Region 2 & 3 & Greenwood have 59 out of 132 appearances
2. Until 2013, region 2 or 3 had at least 1 team in every D1 championship game (32 straight years.
3. 2013 was the only D1 Lower State vs Lower State game (Dutch Fork vs Sumter)
4. There have been 9 Upper State vs Upper State games
5. D1 has had 23 Upper State vs Lower State games. Upper State leads series 13-10
6. D2 has had 10 Lower State vs Lower State games
7. D2 has had 4 Upper State vs Upper State games
8. D2 has had 19 Upper State vs Lower State games. Upper State leads series 14-5
9. Every D2 Lower State Champion, except Goose Creek 2011 & North Augusta 1989, is no longer a 4A school
10. Since 2000, 28 games, 2013 D1 & 2001 D2 have been the only Lower State vs Lower State games
11. Since 2000, Region 2 & 3 have had 28 out of the 33 Upper State appearances. The other 5 were Greenwood.
12. Gaffney lost 2 championship games by the scores of 2-0 and 3-0. That has to be a record. Tough losses.

Nice compilation of data there. Where did you get all of this info from 78? I have not had much success using the scfootballhistory site. Everytime I attempt to use it I receive some type of javascript error.

I used scfootballhistory, maxpreps, rivals, and google searching. The hard part was finding the names of the losing schools.

I think all the error codes have been fixed. I was running (not on purpose) 3 different version of ASP. NET.
There should not be any error codes on the site now.

Thanks Dave. I really relied on your site in the past for pulling up historic data but have not used it in quite some time due to the errors. Thanks for taking care of the errors....
