Colleton County? I'm guessing.
Let us know so that we can set your team affiliation.

I don't think our Fort D or Summerville contributors will like these picks.

I have no problem with his picks as everyone has a right to their own opinion, no matter how far fetched it might be .

Cougars I like that you have Ashley Ridge picked to win but we are playing another defense that hasn't given up a lot of points.
Got a long ride to go with that, but I hope you are right. As you can tell from Friday night you just don't know which team will show up. Summerville can tell you that from our game with them. 1st half looked great second half well 41 points explains it all. Then against Ft. Dorchester up 42-28 with about 6 minutes left and fumble twice (Both are very questionable and the whistle blew on one of them) and ended up being a 42-34 game but Ashley Ridge did play well on both sides of the ball last Friday. So it should be interesting if the Spanking Summverville gave them two weeks ago woke them up or not and they have to play a full game.

I will be pulling for Ashley Ridge in this one. AR did a great job of stopping the run in the 1st half of our game but struggled once Summerville incorporated some passing into the offensive game plan in the 2nd half. How much did Fort D pass the ball in the AR game? Just curious if the reason the Ridge won was because of a one dimensional offensive attack by the Fort.

GBG Fort tried to pass but that really isn't their game. To be honest it was like they were shell shocked. They scored first on a scramble that got them to the 1 and ran it in. Then we answered back on a long pass and it was like that shocked them. They did try to be one dimensional and when they tried to throw it was off target. In the end they did get one big pass play but we were playing that no win defense called prevent. That made it 42-28 we then started running out the clock and on 3rd down with about 2 minutes left #2 got tackled in the backfield or slammed (But it was a clean play) and when he hit the ground the ball came out. The White hat blew the whistle, A Ft player picked it up and started running and the refs gave them the TD. The White Hat explanation was well I did blow the whistle but I couldn't really tell if it was a fumble so I let the play stand.
Ft. Tried an onside but didn't go 10 yds and we ran the clock out. In the first half we threw it all over them and Ran it pretty well too. In the second half I only remember one or two passes once we got up by 14

I would say Ft was more one dimensional but they did throw it about 20 times just couldn't connect. As you saw in our game with you all the run has been our down fall. I think you all did adjust at halftime, I also think we(kids) were happy to be up 13 and thought well all we got to do is show up and in the second half but Summerville just Kicked us in the nuts and kept kicking. Plus in the second half your defense did pick it up and not Give the QB any time to throw and our line didn't adjust and by the end our kids were so frustrated they were dropping balls, running the wrong route, not blocking and again Summerville said Thank you I will take another TD. Which for a rival game thats what you do when you take someones heart. You just keep stomping it. I do think that butt whipping also helped against Ft. D because we did come out and play a full game and in the end we all Tied for Region which in this case the 3 rival schools and thats like Kissing your sister YUCK.. :?

I always pull for the DD II schools unless we are playing each other, I just think the better we all are the better it looks for everyone.
