Wofford is an excellent Head Coach. Every year high schools across the state have opened the checkbook way better than RHD3. So far he stays put. Championships matter more than anything and I believe he stays to win at least a couple state titles. I don’t think he leaves for a high school job. As far as college? Maybe down the road, but the track Richardson took was financially challenging to get where he is now. My understanding it was an initial big step back though now I’m sure the gap has been more than overcome.
I don’t see him leaving for several more years, at least I hope I am right.

I don’t know what his financial situation is, but colleges hiring a HS coach for the head job hasn’t worked well. He would have to go through the assistant route. Figure he makes more at NW than he would at either a Citadel, or CSU, as an assistant. He has a lot of talent at hand and knows how to use it. Some coaches never quite get that part of it figured out. I’d love to see him get a college shot, would just have to be the right opportunityNo Fly Zone wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 11:26 pmDorman isn’t what I’m askingBlister wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 6:32 pmSee Northwestern taking care of business in this one. Somehow South Pointe barely managed to get out of Lancaster with a win. Not a good sign. Wofford is an excellent coach and will win that battle.
As far as Wofford leaving for a higher paying job, rumor has it that Dorman wanted him when they had a vacancy last year, but he didn’t leave.
They can’t pay what Charleston Southern or The Citadel can…

The next step for Wofford is a HS gig that pays more than D3... which is poor.
The step up to college ball is about what he could make at a top HS job/district..... on the onset...
The move to college ball is a total change in plans; it can be more lucrative in the long run, but can also mean more change/more moving locations.
Wofford can take his choice of HS jobs and max out the HS pay scale. He can also stand pat and enshrine himself in the SCHSL hall of fame.
