Maybe I should type up a proposal and send it the the SCHSL. I doubt they would even open it.

Oh yeah, like when people complained about state championship games, you know the biggest games of the season, being played in subpar, second rate stadiums. Williams-Brice and Memorial Stadium should be the only 2 venues used for those games. The other stadiums shouldn't be an option. Heck, there's a lot of high school stadiums better than some of the others.

Agree totally. The stadium at SC State is a dump. A shame that the kids in SC can’t play in the best facilities. Georgia plays in the dome. The NC kids get to play at one of the D1 ACC schools. South Carolina kids are stuck in Orangeburg where I’m pretty sure they haven’t changed a light bulb in the bathrooms since it was built. The elevator wasn’t working in the press box, and there was a shooting on campus during the game on Friday night. It’s a joke.

They have all but ruined football especially for the small towns! To basically make rules for other schools to follow and not all is just a bunch of BS! It has been a ton of players to transfer for athletically reasons only and we see that a brand-new CHARTER SCHOOL (MVP) will basically compete for a state championship year 1! When is someone going to say enough is enough!

Spot on except for one thing. MVP will not be THAT good in year one. A solid team but still a lot of holes. They will be weak on the OL and DL and depth will be a major issue. Seems they will only dress around 30 players. Trust me, they won't be nearly as good as they think they will be. At least four teams in upperstate 3A will be better.

Woodruff is not better than either of those
Also Broome Chapman Southside Christian and st Joe’s are all better than woodruff.

We literally just curb stomped Southside Chrisian 28-7 in a scrimmage 2 days ago but do go on.

Those 1A schools that got moved up to the 3a classification will JMO struggle playing any good 3a team because of depth .
You are missing the entire point of this thread! MVP is in 3A with a team full of 5a region 2 players { Byrnes, Dorman, Spartanburg, Boiling Springs Gaffney, ..then you add the very best lower classification players.. This is unfair advantage, and I don't care what anyone say!

OK then……LETS ALL do something about it!

1. We figure out 1 Monday (when it’s cooler out) and PROTEST outside of the High School League Offices in Columbia!
At $175,000 a year( Jerome’s salary) I’m sure I could implement an open division for all the CHEATER…I mean CHARTER schools!!!!!
We can call ALL the News stations in the state …they love stories like this…ya know….CONTROVERSY!!
Bet I could get Craig Melvin from NBC Today Show down for that PROTEST!!
2. We also, as state taxpayers, DEMAND an explanation as to WHY our kids do not play @ Memorial or Willy B anymore? And don’t give us any Bull $HIT about $$$…USC, was the first state University in 1801 to be continuously supported by state appropriations!!!
So as A STATE FUNDED University, THE Weekend of Champions should NOT cost the SCHSL ANYTHING!!!
But since I’m not a politician and I’m not crooked, WTH do I know.
The KIDS DESERVE to play @ either of those venues!!!

10-0 but really just 3-0
As Walhalla went for it on 4th and 8 from their own 18 with 59 seconds left giving woodruff a Td with 5 seconds left.
Not to mention Walhalla fumbling twice deep in woodruff territory and only dressing 27 players. You realize they are 3a as well. LOL
