You are probably a little bit biased on this point, but I can attest to the fact that I am not biased either way, and I did my homework.

W Mauldin ……...……. 4 - 7 P
W Wade Hampton .. 1 - 10 X
W JL Mann …….…….. 2 - 9 X
W Riverside …….……. 5 - 6 P
W Greenwood ………. 7 - 4 P
L Westside …….……. 8 - 3 P
W Greenville …….….. 3 - 8 X
W Laurens …….….….. 6 - 5 P
W TL Hanna …….……. 1 - 10 X
W Easley …….……….. 4 - 7 X
W Woodmont ………. 3 - 8 X
………………….. …….… 44 - 77 ( 5 ) made playoffs

W South Florence … 10 - 1 P
W Carolina Forest … 3 - 8 X
W Cane Bay …………. 5 - 6 P
W Stratford …………… 8 - 3 P
L Goose Creek ……... 10 - 1 P
W Wando ………………. 6 - 5 P
W West Ashley ……….. 3 - 8 X
W Summerville ……….. 7 - 4 P
W Colleton County …. 5 - 6 P
W Bluffton ……………… 3 - 8 X
L Ashley Ridge ……….. 7 - 4 P
.. …………………. …………. 67 - 54 ( 8 ) Made Playoffs

Hillcrest cannot help the fact that for the most part, Region One has several teams that are not at the top of their game right now. What they can do to help their image (if they care about that) and make themselves a better prepared team, is to beef up the Non-Region schedule. Go after some of the tougher schools historically, like Greenwood did this re-alignment cycle. Dutch Fork, Dorman, Northwestern, Spartanburg was tough first four weeks, but it appears to have paid off for Greenwood. Give those schools, or Byrnes, Boiling Springs, or Gaffney a call for the next re-alignment. No one can predict what a team will be in 3 or 4 years, but historically, those would be a step up when compared to Riverside, J L Mann and Wade Hampton. I know Mauldin is a rivalry game, so I'll leave them in the mix.

Show up and do what you do is what we will be talking about NEXT WEEK. I expect the team and coaching staff are thinking that way today, also.

But until Friday, we are all talking about what we are expecting to see on Friday night. I just gave my honest assessment of the final four.

If I let my biased feelings come through, I would say something like, "Dutch Fork should be at Byrnes, we are undefeated in SC..." but I know how the system works and how the points didn't fall our way and I do my best to be as unbiased as I can.... even though I know I will never be totally unbiased when it comes to most things. I might also say something like "well, Fort Dorchester has played all those Lower State teams, so that don't show me anything." Then GoBigGreen and Wave 80 would be all over me... so I am trying to be fair... {But ramboi44, you and I know it is the truth! Them Lower State teams... :lol: }

We all have biased feelings about everything in life that means something to us. I think my grandsons are the smartest and most handsome boys in South Carolina and that is a totally unbiased assessment! <-- I know you all believe that statement don't you?
