Who would you guys like to see Greenwood go after and how long do you think the coaching search will go on for
Re: Greenwood Hires New Athletic Director
I know who he has in mind, but I'll hold it until the air clears.racincowboy02 wrote:Who would you guys like to see Greenwood go after and how long do you think the coaching search will go on for

I know who I want but I completely trust Sparky Hudson and his opinions on what should go down. Not only does he know the Greenwood tradition and legacy but he was a part of it. Mike Hudson knows what we need and what he's doing.eagle93 wrote:I know who he has in mind, but I'll hold it until the air clears.racincowboy02 wrote:Who would you guys like to see Greenwood go after and how long do you think the coaching search will go on for

The search won't take long. Hudson being our new AD is the best thing that could happen to ghs. Very exciting times

Re: Greenwood Hires New Athletic Director
Heard from a very reliable source (one that let me know about Mac stepping down at Emerald last week), that Greenwood is trying extremely hard to get a former Emerald assistant coach to come in as a teacher and as an assistant coach.
If this is true, they are truly going after "kid magnets" -- this coach was able to pull a lot of talent off the street and sway a lot of quality players away from GHS over to EHS.
This is a preemptive strike against Emerald, because if Deal takes that Emerald job, he'll desperately try to get this young coach back.

He won't get beat 50 something to 0, or lose to teams we should beat. That's for sure. Pippin just couldn't get it done like Coach Cathcart did.

This is an easy hire. Sparky- a great hire- is OLD GUARD. The next HC- easy hire- will also be OLD GUARD. The writing is on the wall.

Yea it may be an easy hire and the writing is on the wall for you guys in Greenwood but I'm not from Greenwood and I don't know anything about the writings on the wall and I understand that it is early on in the process but I would like to talk more about some of the feelings you guys have. I think its cool to see yalls perspective on most of this stuff especially from an outsider looking in

Sparky is a good choice at AD. He believes like most the Greenwood faithful do and doesn't make excuses. He'll pick the right coach. He's been around Greenwood High School Athletics forever.racincowboy02 wrote:Yea it may be an easy hire and the writing is on the wall for you guys in Greenwood but I'm not from Greenwood and I don't know anything about the writings on the wall and I understand that it is early on in the process but I would like to talk more about some of the feelings you guys have.
