I, personally, applaud their honesty and integrity, but if I were Joe Call, I would have put a zipper on my lips. There is no definitive proof that playing would have made it any worse than it already is. The team could have taken internal measures to keep themselves safe. This is a very sketchy decision to have to make. A lot of money and prestige goes with winning playoff games.

Anyone else care to share their opinion about what they would do?

I agree with you on honesty and integrity especially with Thanksgiving coming up and families coming together. I would hate for some older person like Slick or me to get this and have complications. I hate it for the kids but Joe Call will also be respected for it by his peers.

I honestly believe that things like this are a great example for the SCHSL to allow the use of face shields on players helmets. That would make the game much safer in so many ways.
