I cant tell ya how glad I am to be back in the SLOW-country...but I do miss the football in that area.Deputy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 4:32 pmNot dogging them. Apparently they have done an excellent job. But last year was their first year out, and playing a lot of private schools nobody has ever heard of, then the next year, they are one of the better teams in 4A. They must have lured a ton of transfers from the area. What makes it all the more surprising is that there isn't that much talent to be had in Ft Mill.
I attended several Catawba Ridge games last year and they were all in from start to finish every snap of every game.
Props go to their coach who I believe was an asst. at NAFO. He brought that offense and several players with him....all legitimate ( as far as I know)
Another factor is the amount of development going on in Ft. Mill. There is a new neighborhood going up everywhere every 6 months it seemed like for the 5+ years I lived there and with that many homes going up....new kids are moving in every month...week...day for that matter.
Had a hard time picking them against Irmo...but glad I did!!
