Thanks. I just popped over to PFT to see what's shakin'. After I answered the survey question and start scrolling through the topics, a really loud video ad in the sidebar started playing. I just bailed out.

People always think Gaffney loves the black.. that's just the accessory.. the Gold is the meat of the tradition.. helmets were gold, pants were gold at the inception, this color is perfect.. not that brownish gold like Spartanburg, Union, Shelby, Hanna... Gaffney has that smoooth gold.. the kind you find in the ground.. the kind from the asteroid that originally put this unearthly substance in the soil here. The kind that can't be grown or re-created!

Wait a minute Champ hang on there the black is the tradition sorry bud but the black is the tradition ever since I can remember weve always been black and gold the gold helmets we wore back a couple of years ago were ugly and reminded me of Blacksburg t l hanna and those other type of schools with gold helmets and yes Mikey I am talkin about Blacksburg again

Nah, man, Gaffney first wore Black Helmets in 1978.. the 50 years before then.. Gold Helmets, Gold pants, black jerseys, or white jerseys with black numbers... the 80's and 90's kinda jacked that up.. but the basis has always been gold.

1968 Gaffney, Gold Helmets, black stripe, Black and Gold pants... this is what the 20's and 30's teams looked like as well
