"We were born to be hockey players!"

Yeah this would probably have been my first and last speech if they had hired me to replace Gutshall.

DeCav,
I haven't seen anyone on here claiming to be a football coach. We must remember that this is taxpayer dollars paying for this and some of these coaches are the only ones getting anything out of it. Some of these coaches, like here at Emerald and 96 should already be gone. The kids are getting nothing out of their experience with an incapable coach. It should be all about the kids.

I just realized the miracle on ice was on my birthday.

Interesting.

My point is that there must be someone on this board who would make a better coach than the worst coach in this state.

Just because someone hasn't claimed it doesn't mean it isn't so.

Trust me, there are plenty of coaches on this site. Granted, most just read threads as they don't want to chance getting caught commenting. But there are some that do, though you would never know who they are.

Probably most coaches read this site. You are 100% right.

Emerald and 96 are just a few miles apart but have the same issue. Both schools have shown that they have what it takes to be a consistent, solid contender but politics and cliques have controlled the programs until they have been run into the ground. Owings at 96 never will win and he knows it. He has loaded the schedule this year with losers, playing Mid Carolina twice in back to back weeks, who only had 2 wins last year. But when your daddy is the dentist i guess the the kids don't matter. Emerald has the same issue, a coach hired because of cronyism. When will people finally stand up for their kids and force these schools to put the kids first? Both Emerald and 96 have had the opportunity to hire excellent coaches but chose the "buddy route" instead at the expense of the kids. It's really sad. I just sit at the Emerald games and cringe these days.
They do not play MID Carolina twice.that would be 11 regular
Season games.Max prep got it wrong.look again and count the games.
Count the games.
