The closest we've been since the tear gas game was 98 under coach Dula. 42-35 loss in double OT. I was on the field then and remember like it was yesterday. We were trying to tie at 42 when Mark Logan threw an incompletion in the end zone on 4th down. Even though we lost we went on to win back to back titles in 99 and 2000. I feel like that game in 98 really installed confidence in Dula and the Greenwood program. Now it's Pippins turn. Only I'd rather win this time.... ;)

Great post! I was at that game in 98 sitting in the stands as a sixth grader pissed because we lost LOL. Those late 90s Greenwood teams were definitely special. Loaded with talent.

I think it would be cool to play greenwood every year then yall would have a better chance at beating Gaffney on a more consistent basis but playing Gaffney every so often decreases those chances dramatically. I hope that it is a good injury free game and that Gaffney walks out with a win

I'd like that too. Playing Gaffney has always been a big game for us. Best wishes in regards to an injury free game. As far as playing the game....I hope Gaffney has the worst luck possible   See ya Friday!
