4A Region Breakdowns
4A-1
Westside is the region champion.
Greenville plays Easley in Week 10 and is favored to finish 2nd. Easley still has a chance for 2nd place should some outcomes go the Green Wave’s way.
Greenwood finishes the season with Pickens and is likely to finish 3rd with a victory over the Blue Flames.
Berea faces region champion Westside on Thursday night and will be looking to enhance their chances for an At-large bid into the playoffs.

4A-2
Riverside at Greer has Region Title implications.
A win by Greer clinches the Region Title for the Yellow Jackets.
A loss and there will be a 3-way tie for the top spot between Greer, Riverside, and Laurens.
Having finished the regular season, Laurens is sitting at home waiting for their playoff fate.
Wade Hampton at Eastside could determine a playoff spot. A win might put the Eagles into a 3-way tie for 2nd place.
Wade Hampton needs to pull the upset against their cross-town rivals to spring the Generals into the 4A playoffs. A loss and the Generals will be hoping for an At-large bid.
An email has been sent for tiebreaker information.

4A-3
Northwestern plays at Catawba Ridge in week 10. The Trojans have already wrapped up the region title and will be hosting the 1st round of the playoffs.
York at South Pointe will determine 2nd place in the region. Loser will finish 3rd.
Lancaster at Indian Land winner will determine 4th place in region and relegate the loser to 5th.

4A-4
North Augusta at Midland Valley will determine the region champion.
The loser of this game will be 2nd place.
South Aiken will be hosting rival Aiken, the Thoroughbreds will finish 3rd in region with a win.
Aiken would need to pull the upset to have any hopes of making the 4A playoffs.
Airport has finished the regular season and is your likely 4th place finisher.

4A-5
Irmo is the region champion. They play host to Lugoff-Elgin in a game that only has potential playoff aspirations for the Demons.
Ridge View is in control of their destiny as they play host to A.C. Flora. A win for the Blazers would wrap up 2nd place in the region.
A.C. Flora needs a win to maintain or improve its position in the final region standings. A win for the Falcons could force a 3-way for 2nd place in the standings.
Richland Northeast plays at Westwood, a win for the Cavaliers should give them a region finish of no worse than 3rd. Westwood will be looking to end their season on a positive note, but a playoff bid might be unlikely.

4A-6
South Florence is your 4A Region 6 champion.
Myrtle Beach has locked up 2nd place with wins over Hartsville and West Florence.
Hartsville needs a win against Wilson in week 10 to lock up 3rd place.
West Florence still has a mathematical chance for 3rd place but would need a win over cross-town rival South Florence and a Hartsville loss for that to come to fruition.
Wilson needs a win over Hartsville to have a chance for a guaranteed slot and not rely on an At-Large option to get into the playoffs.

4A-7
James Island will travel to Lucy Beckham as they will decide the 4A Region 7 title.
The loser will finish in 2nd place.
Bluffton has a chance to earn 3rd place and a home playoff game with a win over Colleton County.
May River travels to Hilton Head Island with the opportunity to earn its way into 4th place or better and an automatic slot into the playoffs.

Northwestern would seem to be headed to the Upper State final from the upper bracket.

I think the Upper State lower half bracket is going to be filled with many good games. I don't see a clear favorite, but South Pointe does look strong.

In the lower state, it would appear that South Florence is the strong favorite to make it to the State final.

For all the kids, may the rest of the season be injury free and may the games be officiated well.
