Sumter 31
Hillcrest 28
Defense gets a much needed stop on 4th down and its been a couple of games since Vince Watkins missed a FG so I'm counting on him to pull one out in the last minute.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Without any real knowledge of either team, Sumter's defense did hold the high flying Mauldin team last week. Hillcrest does not play a super tough schedule. On those two points:
Sumter 28
Hillcrest 17
Sumter 28
Hillcrest 17

You do realize that HHS held Mauldin to 13pts right?trojangrad78 wrote:Without any real knowledge of either team, Sumter's defense did hold the high flying Mauldin team last week. Hillcrest does not play a super tough schedule. On those two points:

Yes, but that was the very first week of the season way back in August. Sumter did it last week. I know both teams have gotten better as the year has gone on. Don't get me wrong. Re: Sumter vs Hillcrest your pick and why
Obviously, I'm going to pick Sumter based on fan bias. If I'm being pragmatic, it's going to be a real test of merit for the Gamecocks.
But based on watching these boys for 4 years there are a few things I know: they'll score on special teams; the defense will have 5 or more sacks; The offense will burn somebody deep; the defense will sit on a sustained drive and make a big stop at the end.
I wish the best for both teams Friday night. It's going to be a battle!

Re: Sumter vs Hillcrest your pick and why
Having seen both teams, I am inclined to lean in favor of the Rams based on a few factors; home field advantage, athleticism of 13 and 2 they make plays, Rams QB 12 doesn't make mistakes, LB 45 along with DE's are solid...However, Sumter does have a great coach in Reggie Kennedy and some good players as well...this in my opinion will be one of the better games in the state....Rams by 10 points or less....
